Herrymax: One thing I have come to know in life is that it is very easy to criticize based on face value alone. Maybe if you spend less than an hour with the president, you might come to appreciate him. All of you criticizing based on what you fail to see might be totally wrong. |

Front0lane:Remember that it was during Yar'Dua cabal regime that they killed the fairly moderate Yusufu and allowed the extremist Shakau. Buhari the prominent opponent of Jonathan going hard on Boko saying "killing Boko is killing the North". He was even once chosen by Boko as their negotiator. So Buhari help prepare the ground for Boko to get bigger. In any case Boko began during OBJ regime. The North formed it in anger against a Southern presidency. Northern elite have admitted that since. He is even setting Boko free right, left and center. There is a YouTube video of the South African defense contractor Jonathan hired to train Nigerian army. What they did Jonathan regime and what Buhari did once he took ovet. I hope sentiment won't stop you from watching the clip and make up your mind objectively. Please remember and do not twist it. |

valarmorghulis: I think to some who have lost their sons and daughters to abduction and death, who they sent to the local school down the road only to hear that their assailants may be rewarded with scholarships and foreign education is surely a hellish experience. I wonder how they can sleep. They must be seething in rage. Oga, no matter how you try and spin this. Nigeria is in a very bad shape now. Its fabric is weaker than ever before no thanks to an unprepared, overwhelmed leadership that seems focused only on its own agenda. Nothing said by the Bishop in this text is insulting or condescending. Most Nigerians feel the same. Nothing has fundamentally improved in the five years since. 2 Likes |

Urchman200: He has been playing politics, not tackling the issues. During Goodluck Jonathan's administration, Boko Haram was at the peak of its powers. They were so brazen that they were taking territories and putting their flags everywhere on Nigerian soil. Please, did Oyedepo ever criticize that administration? He didn't. Rather, he was cursing Boko Haram and refusing to even criticize GEJ. There was hardly a month that went by that we didn't hear about bombings. Schoolboys were slaughtered in their dorms, Chibok girls were kidnapped, and yet not once did Oyedepo even remotely criticize GEJ. As at 2014, Nigeria was already slipping into a recession. Yet, in 2015, dollars were being thrown away to seek reelection for a man that the Economist had brazenly called an ineffectual buffoon Oyedepo did not care about this. He was busy campaigning for GEJ. Only misguided fools think Oyedepo means well for this country. He is just a politician guiding his own interest. How come he suddenly became an advocate against bad government when Buhari won in 2015. Was there no evidence of bad governance under GEJ? Yet, this man was quiet when he should have criticized the government. He has a right to be partisan, at least under the law. But his followers should stop painting him as a good man. He is a PDP apologist. He has never liked Buhari, and obviously will not. And I am sure Buhari knows this, and couldn't care less. Oyedepo is only respected by his followers. But any man who is not gullible will know that Oyedepo is nothing but a businessman, and as a thorough businessman, he is only out there to make profit and enjoy privileges. 3 Likes |

Truly the "the worst thing that has happened to Nigeria — this government. It is the worst and in fact it is like a curse" very true. Especially when I think of how baba gave appointments to some dead people; how he said "an attack to Boko Haram is an attack to the North; and how he called on thousands of his supporters who gathered at a rally held in Minna, Niger State, to go all out to cast their votes and to kill anyone who stops them from doing that. I still have the list of his 2015 campaign promises, it's zero over 100 actually. We've never had a good president, not even one but this one is the worst of all. But what was Bishop's voice saying in 2015 ? |

BluntBoy: Then you donot understand what democracy is all about. You think that democracy is just electing a President, sitting back and 'praying for him' as sime say. Do you employ a servant then leave him to do what he likes? No. You set rules, instruct him and watch for performance. There are no secrets there. You both know exactly what is going on at every point in time. There is nothing hidden before a typical Brit or American, or German or French or Italian. They see it is black and white because they interact with government. They speak goverment listens.? and acts like true SERVANTS. Americans said they wanted their troops out of Afghanistan so Trump is pulling them out. If he cannot do that then he will have to explain to the nation why. Nigerians have asked Mr. President fo sack the service chiefs several times and spoken clearly through their Representatives. Mr. President has refused to do so and has refused to say why. Tell me why any citizen should not react negatively to this disdain. I personaly donot think sacking fhem will change our fortunes but in a democracy a leader has no option but to obey the will of his people at every cost even to his person. We own the government not him. There are no secrets in a democracy. 2 Likes |

ezigr8: I think so too. I think he should just let us stew in our situation. Nigerians will eventually learn what it takes to move forward. What he can do is to teach people what to look out for in good leadership and how to handle citizenship matters. This government will come and go. It is the lessons that matters. No need for name calling. Everyone is responsible for the failings we see today. 1 Like 1 Share |
