‘THE DEPOSED ONE BEHEADED GIDEON AKALUKA,’ — FANI-KAYODE

Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation and an advocate of restructuring has revived the controversy surrounding the murder of Gideon Akaluka.
This comes a few hours after the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was dethroned by the Kano State Executive Council on Monday, March 9, 2020.
Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode in a message posted on his Twitter handle claimed that the deposed one played a central role in the killing of Gideon Akaluka in the mid-90s.

He alleged that Gideon Akaluka, a southeasterner, was beheaded by a mob led by the deposed one for allegedly disrespecting the Holy Koran. Mr. Kayode called for the deposed one to be brought to book now that he has been deposed.

His words: “Now that he that beheaded Gideon Akaluka has been deposed it is time to bring him to justice for murder. Akaluka was butchered by a Kano mob in the mid-1900s for desecrating the Koran. The deposed one led that crowd, severed his head from his body &paraded it on a long pole.
“He was hidden from Abacha in a Sokoto prison for two years after committing this heinous crime whilst all his co-conspirators were summarily executed by the security forces.
“A prominent banker whose son has been convicted of Islamist terrorism in America intervened on his behalf, begged Abacha and consequently he was later set free and allowed to go down south and into banking.”
According to the Independent UK, Gideon Akaluka was killed in December of 1994 after his wife allegedly used pieces of the Koran as toilet tissue. The Newspaper reports that Mr. Akaluka was arrested and thrown into jail, but some youths later broke into the prison and beheaded him. His head was paraded in the streets of Kano.

But Akaluka’s lawyer had said that his client was not in the compound as at the time the Holy Koran was allegedly desecrated. The lawyer also denied that the woman who allegedly committed the act was Akaluka’s wife.
In 2014, the Council For Eastern Justice (CFEJ) had initiated moves to drag Sanusi L. Sanusi, who was then Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, but now dethroned Emir of Kano, to the National Conference so that he can explain what he knew about the killing of Gideon Akaluka.

Mehn, I just did a little Internet check, and it seems Sanusi actually played a deadly role.
An educated person as Sanusi leading a religious riot!! It's a shame!

Such a weakness for religion, but perhaps, if he doesn't lead a protest for his religion, he would quickly be termed a traitor and infidel.

He's Was Hidden From Abacha while his co -conspirators face the firing squad....


with that quote above ,its show that Abacha was better in all area than the one we have at the helm now...
