Niger state should act now by recalling these half baked mallams they gave to us as lawmakers before Nigerians loose their tamper on them. I mean..this is simple, pass a bill for steady supply of electricity and the generator will importers will be out of business. Chikinaaaa....

Mr Senator, em I am not sure if it’s because you want to make a name for yourself or you are out of touch with reality. Does your ban mean that the government will now give us 24 hours uninterrupted power throughout Nigeria. Please we want to know your logical thinking behind such a bill. If none then I think you may need to step down from the senate.As you are not representing anyone.

The IQ of the north is too low even for African standards.
A country whose economy is generator powered wants to ban generator.

These same northern senators are the clowns sponsoring ludicrous bills like social media bill, immunity for lawmakers bill and other nonsense bills.

Abeg,these people too dull. They cannot develop this country in a thousand years.

Such almajiri like thinking cannot work in this fast paced 21st century.

But when it's time to vote, you will be the first to vote for buhari grin

the generators will simply become more expensive as they will be smuggled, then only the rich will be able to afford it, anything to make difficult for the common man.

Generators Cabal (Mikano et al)go just kill this man for nothing

Other details of the bill obtained by PREMIUM TIMES shows that the ban shall not include generator sets used for essential services which include:

* Medical purposes (hospitals and nursing homes and healthcare facilities).

* Airports.

* Railway stations/services.

* Elevators (lifts).

* Escalators.

* Research Institutions, and

* Facilities that require 24 hours electric power supply. Can’t even affect them...
Sorry to burst your bubble but it still will affect the common man in the long run

It's a welcomed bill as long as it's banned in all government parastetals and all public office holders homes.

Don't mind these group of dingbats.It's not their fault they are disconnected from the common man.They are living in another planet while we are in another.If they are not too comfortable but feel what we feel they won't just wake up and make the decision of drunkards because even a mad man at times has self control than these set of drunken masters

It's like dis Senator just came in from Switzerland.

We will stop using generators on the basis.

1. Fix the Power Sector
2. Make Solar power affordable to almost al that need it
3. Make PHCN Bills/tariff fair
4. Federal Government should buy from all of us the generators that we are currently using.

When you are ready, you can come so we can negotiate.
Thanks.

No power supply, u still want to ban generators, see his beard!

You simply do not understand the source of blackmail in getting steady electricity in Nigeria. The Generator cabal is real. Ask the resigned former minister of power Bartholomew Nnaji.

this senator does not understand what Nigerians are facing, he said Generator should be banned imagine when power supply is not stable virtually in all sectors;, school, hospital,banks,industries, small retail shops,even telecom industries(mtn,9mobile,airtel ) run on 24 hours to ensure there is stable telecommunication networks and this man just woke up and say Generator should be banned.
i just see him as a very funny man and whats to be popular, he should go back to the drawing board and strategies on a bill that would benefit Nigerians and the constituency he is representing and im really disappointed in this senator for proposing such a bill.
