What he's trying to say is that, our political environment is not stable. One government head can just wake up one morning and come up with unfavorable policies because they are very powerful. And as such, people's investments might just disappear overnight. Learn to read in between the lines, that's how smart people do

What is lawlessness about the removal of Sanusi? The constitution of Nigeria gives the governor the right to install and depose a king. The house of assembly were involved in the removal of Sanusi and the governor assented to it in accordance with the laws of the country.

How is that lawlessness like what Obi opined. Don’t teach me about investors and the factors that affects them coz I’m not a novice in this game.

If it had been that Sanusi was removed in a gestapo style against the laws of the land now, you can mention lawlessness.

What if there is royal recklessness like the case of the deposed Deji of Akure, will it also send away investors from the country?

Mimiko doesn't wanna remove him at first.
It's the council of kings that insist and put pressure on him to be removed.
Yet doesn't stops investors from investing In Ondo.

They get more investments and IGR and even more and better infrastructures in Kano than all your poor wheelbarrow and kerosene sharing SE states.

Food for thought.

Truly lawlessness and insecurity turn away investors from an economy but I don’t see the effect of Sanusi’s removal on Nigeria’s economy like Peter Obi opined.

The effect will be too infinitesimal to even bother to discuss the subject. Sanusi is just a king and not a member of the government in this context.

This is a traditional issue and investors are bothered about security, ease of doing business, rule of law, etc. and not royalty games.
If a governor can do this to a respected ruler what happens when a governor don't like an investor

dethronement is part of local government and chieftancy law, Ganduje followed it to the latter .. if anything smart investors, are happy that unlike PDP that supports looter Kano just dethroned a king based on corruption after legislative approval

reflect on this and see why anything isn't working in southeast

Yes you’re right about the Mimiko stance.

I like Sanusi personally and I’ve always loved listening to him talk. However, Ganduje have the right to depose him because Sanusi gave them the chance to use some loophole in the system against him.

He was removed:
In order to safeguard the sanctity, culture, tradition, religion and prestige of the Kano emirate", accusing the emir of "total disrespect" of institutions and the governor's office.

He was accused:
Not attending state functions and official meetings, which the government said amounted to "total insubordination".

For the above, it clearly showed he did not attend those functions and that is an act of insurbodination such that the governor have the right to remove him coz the laws empower him to do that. (Although there is always political undertone below that).

An example is you not attending all board meeting in your company continuously, will someone like that get sacked or be pampered?

Which investor will now say because the governor followed the law, I will not invest in Nigeria like Obi said.

Even Buhari has the constitutional right to deal with Nigerians. Removing the Emir, is that the major challenges facing Kano state? If it's to come up with things that will move the people forward, that's when you will start hearing that they are studying the matter. But to carry out vindictive acts, bang! It does not take a second. With such attitude, nobody is safe because with their power, they will unleash terror on people. That's main truth

The main issue here is that the governor followed the law. It is an issue of insubordination and disregard to constituted authority.

The government have the backing of the constitution to install or depose a traditional ruler that fail to meet certain requirement.

If Ganduje had removed him illegally now, then we can say investors will be worried. That’s the point I’m tryna make.

Mind you: I like Sanusi too and I’ve always cherished his ideas.

Peter Obi is the Northern Ass whip or is Sanusi from Anambra? when did Northerners give a damn what happens in ShoutYeast village... slaves would fight for their master and forget Nigeria just excluded you from the infrastructure drive captured in the 22 billion dollars loan.... while southwest get standard rail linking all Yoruba state capital from lagos- Abeokuta - Ibadan to Ilorin and lokoja you people would scamper to pay the bill

How can you have peace of mind investing in an economy where a governor openly seen collecting bribes, gets a so called anti corruption President holding up his hand, win re-election fraudulently and sacks a traditional ruler because of 'disrespect'?!

The courts are also mere caricatures... That's why most lawsuits against the country are being conducted in foreign countries.

Senator Abaribe spoke on the floor of the house.... But lawan over ruled him and went ahead to approve the loan... Go and watch it on YouTube...

I dont blame Buhari
I dont blame you either
Rather I blame all the useless south East politicians that can't stage a workout... Let it be known that the region is represented ... Because it's outrageous..
But greed won't let it happen... Because all of them in the house irrespective of religion and tribe have shares from the largese..

I enjoy using hurtful words to bring people to realization of facts.. SouthEast Leaders which you elected through envy , sentiments and boycott of electoral process like voters registration would continue to represent you.. Ipob leader like Kanu would simply turn around after years and months of asking people never to get their voters card to vote for PDP few days to election while Peter Obi wont use his head and speak on Hope Uzondinma's victory, exclusion of SouthEast from a 30 years $22 billion loan which all region gets something ... yet youths hail Obi lol grin

Obi allegedly dehumanized Ipob members, never spoke against kanu's incarceration, SouthEast Govenors Proscribed Igbos, Umahi openly said Ibos don't need regional seciurity outfit against Fulani yet you come here speaking trash lol

The man is not dumb, he's not ignorant or uneducated about the statutory powers of state governors and state supremacy to fire and sack traditional rulers, he knows that there was nothing lawless about it and has nothing to do with investors or investments, he's just playing to the usual gallery of ignorant and uneducated people.

This is how bad leaders and political elites corrupt, mislead and miseducate the Nigerian youths.

Just imagine, this man, Peter Obi who is today pretending to be ignorant, dumb and stupid about the same state laws that he himself presided over tried to be the VP of Nigeria?

You see why we God didn't let this man anywhere near Aso Rock.
