With Rema’s Success, Reekado Banks Exit From Mavin Records Was A Big Mistake – DO YOU AGREE?

It’s getting close to 2 years after Reekado Banks left Mavin and it’s crystal clear that his career is missing the Mavin touch.

The Reekado Banks under Mavin records won’t go a year without a hit song or two. He is so damn talented that no one thought he could be struggling for hit song after his Mavin exit.

Could it be that Reekado Banks is not that talented or he has only been hiding under the good structure of Mavin Records to make hits?

Mavin Records has all it takes to make a good song a hit and no doubt, Reekado Banks does good songs but the Mavin promotional strategies are what was making him get hits.

Could it be that Reekado Banks thought he was the biggest artiste in the record label at that time and he could go all alone and make the money alone?

If Reekado Banks had the slightest idea that he is going to struggle a lot to make his songs penetrate deep into the music industry, he would have decided to renew his contract, instead of using the exit door.

Reekado Banks Exit From Mavin Records In 2018 Was Not A Smart Move
Rema who came in as an obvious replacement for the former Mavin star made an instant impact in his first year in the music industry having over 50 million digital streams, carting away awards, getting international recognition and lots more.

With Rema‘s success in the music industry, Reekado Banks‘ exit from Mavin records seems like a mistake on his part, keeping up with the hitmaker status without a label that made you so will be damn hard.

You may want to ask, what about Kizz Daniel who is still a hitmaker after G-Worldwide exit?

The truth is, Kizz Daniel made G-worldwide a successful record label with his exceptional talent and not the other way round.

It will always be G-Worldwide who will suffer a setback without Kizz Daniel and that’s why they won’t stop going to court over the matter.

Let’s not forget that Lil Kesh went this type of Reeky way too and his career with YAGI label went down the drain, Chinko Ekun who joined another label is doing way better.

Reekado Banks could have exercised more patience, extend his contract with Mavin with another two years and start building a personalized team for himself before completion of the renewed contract,

Reeky’s exit from Mavin in 2018 wasn’t a calculated move at all or what do you guys think?

Nice writeup. Reekado banks made the right decision. True that his career has taken a back seat right now but he has one HIT SONG now. With consistency he should be OK. Take Tekno for example
