Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has replied the senator introduced Bill to ban generators in Nigeria. The senates had today, March 11, 2020, introduced a bill to ban the use of generators in Nigeria.

The Bill was introduced by Senator Bima Muhammed Emagi, of the All Progressive Congress, APC, representing Niger South.

Reacting to this, Femi Fani-Kayode, said via his twitter account, that the Senator that sponsored the Bill to ban generators in Nigeria and send those that uses generators to jail must be insane.

But looking at it critically, ffk has a point, is it not madness that not one person has been jailed in Nigeria for diverting pre-paid meters, hoarding or inflating the price.
Not one company has been indicted for cheating Nigerians by estimated billing to the tune of billions of naira yet the honest business man who takes advantage of the situation to provide alternative means is to be jailed.
