Harbour Human Capital Solutions (HHCS) Limited on behalf of our client, a Non-Governmental Organisation which runs a Vocation Training Centre for the Blind in Lagos, is currently recruiting to fill the position of MATRON

Main Responsibilities:

o To ensure boarders are healthy and safe, providing care, ensuring cleanliness, comfort and a friendly environment whilst providing a visible, accessible and authoritative presence.

o To be responsible for the health and wellbeing of the boarders, taking responsibility for the sickbay, First Aid, CPR and fire prevention within boarding facilities.



o To be familiar with, and to support and implement, the behaviour and discipline policies of the institution and all other relevant policies of the school and of the boarding house, including health and safety, safeguarding and anti-bullying.

o To offer general administrative support and assistance with various tasks, as well as any other duties as may be reasonably be required by the Principal, from time to time.

Qualification and Experience:

o B.Sc. Nursing OR SRN/SCM OR Other equivalent qualifications with at least 5 years Boarding house Management experience.

o Preference will be given to female applicants.

o Must have a caring disposition, fortitude, emotional resilience, patience, a well-developed work ethic, thorough with an eye for details, a sensitive awareness of the needs of young people and adults and a good sense of humour

o Excellent analytical. communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills

o CPR and Fire safety trained is desirable.

o Knowledge of Psychology, Customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.

o Must be computer literate.
