So I've been a guest in nairaland for the past 2 years and I just decided to register today. Since I've been active here even as a guest, there's this battle going on specifically in romance section between the males and the females - the boys are quick to label any female they come across as gold diggers or 'olosho' while the girls retort back by broke shaming the guys cheesy and in recent times, the so called redpillers are garnering more attention and followers.
It keeps going on and on and on that it seems never going to come to a halt. I know there's little or nothing me or anyone can do about the toxic atmosphere here but I want to ask, is this all what romance session is going to be all about till God knows when?? Its getting boring and I think you all need to chill.. yes this is a faceless forum but one shouldn't come here expecting to unwind only to get engaged in a gold diggers/all girls are olosho vs broke boy/redpiller e-brawl every single time in every single thread on romanceland. I happen to go back to threads of old times often and it was never like this, back then there were peaceful conversations, fondness and understanding between the Male and female folks. I don't know how it all got to this level of broke shaming and slut shaming. Someone said "this is no longer romanceland it's now bashersland", I agree.
And as I speak this topsy turvy battle goes on...

Veeery true.

I miss nairaland of old when I was still a guest. In fact, then I used to come here just to laugh and have fun.
Those were the days of funny memes on the your most embarrassing moments at school, church and what have you. And then everyone would comment sanely without bashing the other. But today all you have are hate speech, strife, bickering and all sorts of unhealthy pranks.

I believe the mods should do some sort of e-sanitizing and get rid of some trouble makers here. They are not difficult to spot. Even as a guest, i already knew some of them and was ready for them before registering.

Nice observe though.

We can’t go back to the old days and more reason we live in the contemporary world. We move along with life and any attempt to live backward implies death or entinction.
No one is slut shaming anyone here nor did anyone broke shame other. It’s just the topic matter that brings about such arguments. And maybe you should carefully those threads you referred to and you get your fact right. If the ladies refuse to get sense and respect their Male counterparts, it’s nothing close to end.

And who said anything about going back to the past..? Can you read mr? if you were comprehensive enough you'd have noticed I wasn't on anyone's side, I was plain and neutral; Spread love not hate.
