The Senate on Tuesday passed for second reading a bill to protect the rights and privileges of older persons in the Nigeria. Senator Ezenwa Francis of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Imo State, who led the debate on the general principles of the bill, said the bill was first read on Nov. 7, 2019.
