Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, has emphasized the need for agencies and other govern¬ment organs to seriously pursue their mandate in order to achieve the pur¬pose for which they were established.

Emphasising this in his office while playing host to the Executive Assis¬tant to the Governor on Education Monitoring/ Teacher Professional Development, Chief Pat Ejeteh, the commissioner noted that since Chief Ejeteh was appointed, she had dog¬gedly pursued the charge given by the state governor and that was as a result of her pedigree garnered over the years.

He emphasized that monitoring of government projects and activi¬ties not only show the importance government attaches to project execution but serves as a feedback mechanism to enable government keep track of projects execution.

While promising that the Ministry of Information would collaborate with her office through effective enlightenment and education of Deltans, using the state -owned me¬dia, the commissioner urged all to partner with government by seeing themselves as owners of projects located within their communities, thereby ensuring the safety and du¬rability of such projects.

Earlier in her address, Chief Pat Ejeteh, said that her mandate was to oversee the monitoring of all public and private schools, monitor inter¬nal and external examination facili¬ties and equipment in the Schools.

Others, according to her include, organize/training programs for teachers and principals as well as supervise teaching and learning in the schools.

She solicited the support of the commissioner in providing publicity for her activities.
