In line with the FG directive that all Varsities and Schools nationwide should close so as to contain the spread of the Virus, the management of the University has also decided to shut down for the next two weeks.
Briefing Staff and Students at the University Auditorium on Friday at about 9:45 am, the Vice Chancellor directed the University is aligning with the Federal Government directive so as to curtail the spread of the virus and as well avoid public gathering. He reminded them that though the University prayed against the spread of the coronavirus and stop to it, Staff and Students should not be exposed to the risk involved.
Also, if after two weeks the spread has not been checked and reduced the management may decide to extend the duration of the short break.
He advised students and staff to stay safe, avoid public gatherings and report to the nearest hospitals if they perceive any symptoms in their body.
Students have therefore been directed to vacate the campus between Friday 20th March and Sunday 22nd March before 11am.
