Aside breaking the norm of male leadership, Chimeziri Jane Onyinyechi, is the First Lady since the history of the institution to lead the students of Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu State as student President

She contested for the post of Student President and won, which earned her the record of the first female to lead a student union in Godfrey Okoye University Enugu for the first time since the inception of the university

She enjoined everyone to contribute to an enabling environment for studies in campus. She further expressed her gratitude to the ex council members for a job well done.
