CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Nigeria records first coronavirus death
Nigeria has recorded the first coronavirus death after a 67-year-old man who returned back home following medical treatment in UK gave in to the disease
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in a tweet on Monday, March 23

According to report, the man reported dead has some hidden medical conditions. it was confirmed that he was suffering from multiple myeloma & diabetes.
It was reported that the deceased man was also undergoing chemotherapy.

After the demise, the NCDC sympathized with his family.
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) tweeted via their verified twitter handle…

“The case was a 67-year-old man who came back home following medical treatment in UK.
He had hidden medical conditions.. numerous myeloma & diabetes & was undergoing chemotherapy”.
