Yes who remembers Abdelbaseet Al-Megrahi, the Libyan bomber who was released on "compassionate grounds" in scotland in 2009 owing to the fact that he had prostrate cancer and was due to die in 3 months time? Well, he is still alive and well and lives in tripoli with his family. My question is? Why is no one talking about this, he killed( or allegedly killed) hundreds of Americans in that bombing incident. I remember the scottish justice secretary, Kenny McAskill insisting that he. Had terminal cancer amidst criticism by the US government. Anyway, this " Lockerbie bomber" saga shows us that politics is the same everywhere - full of deception and hypocrisy. N.B for more details google " lockerbie bomber"

The Libyan government pulled a fast one on the UK. They believed that he only had 3 months to live, but he is actually doing fine. However, I hear the reason why he was released was due to the fact that BP has oil contracts with the Libyan government and Gaddafi wanted him released.

The story behind the lockerbie bombing is a lot more complicated and convoluted than it seems on face value.

In order to understand the whole story you have to go back to the 1988 bombing by a US naval ship of an Iranian passenger jet.  This passenger jet was "mistakenly" hit by a US naval missile and this resulted in all 266 passengers on board being killed.  the iranians swore vengeance for this dastardly act, it is alleged that the lockerbie bombing was the retaliatory act.  However in order to cover their tracks the iranians are said to have used a palestinian terrorist organisation known as popular front for the liberation of palestine General Command (PFLP GC) to undertake the bombing on their behalf.

Gadaffi is said to have been set up to take the rap.  Ive just summarised the facts and you might want to research the topic further, but suffice to say that the Libyans had nothting whatsoever to do with this bombing but were victims of blackmail and extortion by the US govt, they were forced to pay the relatives of the victims approx $2.7 billion dollars in compensation for a crime they did not committ.
The british govt are also up to their necks in the coverup as they colluded with the americans to pin the crime on Libya.
