The Italians have been on total Lockdown for over 2 weeks, yet they are averaging about 5,000 new cases daily. How can any one argue that Lockdowns are effective?

South Korea recorded their first Covid-19 cases since January, yet they have the infection under control without a single Lockdown. How did they keep their infection rate so low while keeping the country working?

The use of Face Masks when outdoor is Mandatory.

Testing is widely available and contact tracing if very effective.

All public places are fumigated regularly.

Hand Sanitizers are also located everywhere.

Nigeria's Economy was already on life support and now unintelligent Politicians and Administrators want to finally put it in a coma. Nigerians need to learn from Countries that got it right from the start and not from the likes on the US and Europe that failed woefully in responding to the outbreak.

China used extreme lockdown and it worked.
US and EU got into trouble because the sort alternative method.

South Korea case is still a mystery. No other nation has won without lockdown.

You are not well informed. Only China’s Hubei province was on lock down. The other parts of china only scaled back on work and outings. My Chinese supplier in Shenzhen resumed work since Feb 10.

Epicenters are normally on lockdown. Hubei was locked down very early. Extremely locked down.

And moreover Chinese were on holiday during the outbreak, so most cities were already deserted.

So based on your argument, the whole Nigeria is an Epicenter and should be shut down?

Lagos should be shut down if infection rate becomes geometric.

For now partial shut down is ok. Other cities should go about their normal business with good safety measures in place.

In my opinion ,places where covid19 viruses is present right now should be lockdown and traces should begin in those areas till they get zero transmission rate
Other areas not affected should be open for business if not we be heading towards great recession
