Following the directive of the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano for the closure of all open markets in the state for 14 days, with effect from Monday, March 31st, 2020, one of South-East biggest market, Nkwo Nnewi witnessed total compliance in observing the directive over Coronavirus.

The closure of markets in Anambra state was in line with the campaign against coronavirus in Anambra State.
