The question is for nairalanders and I am hoping that other persons who bake just like myself will find this thread useful in future I have googled it but I couldn't find any videos or articles anywhere on how to prepare UAC company gala sausage roll The question is why gala sausage roll can last for up to 2 weeks without getting rotten despite the fact that it contains meat which rottens after 3 days I will also like to draw the attention of nairalanders to titus sardine that doesn't get rotten after 3 days If nobody knows the preservatives behind gala, maybe somebody will know the one behind titus sardine so I can possibly apply it in my baking |

Oil and salt are food preservatives. Likewise vinegar. Is there a religious/cultural basis to your questions? 1 Like |

Alhaji2020: The beef in gala is preserved by a method called curing. Curing is responsible for the pink colour. You can Google up curing. As for Titus sardine, are you saying it won't deteriorate after 3days even when the can is opened?I doubt that. 2 Likes |
