HIV researchers came ill from Great Britain, where they presented their work at a symposium at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).

She holds an honorary teaching position at the LSHTM and at the University of Washington and Cape Town University.

Two years ago, the European Development Clinical Trials Partnerships awarded her the Outstanding Female Scientist Award.
