Hunger can kill faster than coronavirus. Epileptic power supply too isn't helping in the stay at home order.

Hello! If they choose not to die by hunger, then it's opened to them to die by Covid-19 virus.

It's an opened choice to all. But the threat is that the stupidity of an individual will manifest on hundreds. That's just the only pain.

Something must kill a man.

Exactly!

Just lukat how the stvpidity of Buharii is manifesting on millions.

Sir, there is hunger everywhere. Other counties provided a means whereby citizens won't go hungry, but Nigerian Government is making life difficult for us and it seems you trying to defend them.

While the danger of the people protesting is well understood we cannot shy away from the responsibility of the Government to provide palliatives just as Governments in developed countries have done.

We need to be empathic. The fact that you have money to stock food and did stock food does not mean others have the capacity to do so.

Government has a primary role in protecting the weaker ones in the society.

So you think everyone on the road is dieing of hunger?

Have you heard of bandwagon effect?

Other countries are shutting down and we refuse to keep to instructions.

China where it started shutdown to be able to get it under control.

Why are we not learning as a people from the sacriface made by people of China and Co to reduce the spread.

No wonder US, France, Germany and Co are quickly taking thier people out of Nigeria.

This lockdown lockdown they are shouting all over will eventually end in chaos . It is absolutely insane to lockdown ppl in their houses for 2 weeks without providing them any food and expect them not to react.
Even the countries that started this lockdown method didn't do it this way, they are providing daily food to everyone and during the lockdown, they are going into every house testing everyone.
We are just telling ppl to lockdown , we are not testing them to know who and who is infected?
What the fg should have done is to close all schools ,give workers both state and federal workers 4 weeks break with double pay, ask all non essential private business to close for the same period , this will automatically reduce movement by 50% , give food markets 8hrs period to open every day. And establish testing centers in all wards and local government areas ,.TESTING IS THE KEY TO DEFEATING CORONA VIRUS NOT LOCKDOWN . the more you get ppl tested, the more you will understand and know what to do.

Mr 'I too know', this statement is completely FALSE! stop misleading people here.

Yes, all supermarkets abroad are open during the lockdown, but governments is NOT distributing free food to everyone, neither are they going house to house testing people. Smh

I guess being in Nigeria has twisted your mind. Sensible governments that asked people to stay at home also provide good and money to those people.

i already addressed your points in my post, i am not against locking down of the nation, but the way and manner it is been done. and even while doing it the fg isn't doing enough to combat the virus, lockdown alone will not slow down the rate at which the virus spread, if you don't get people tested and infected ppl removed to isolation centers

please permit me to ask, have you been tested? if the answer is no, then how do you get tested if there are not testing centers? and if yes, did they come to you or you went to them? going to them means you expose yourself and others to infection.

every day we now read of health workers complaining of inadequate kits to work, all the funds they are allocating, where is it going ?

Are you saying Buhary and his team don't know what they are doing ?

You voted him, obey your leader.

I'm not being political though. The last people who should complain under Buhary are Lagosians.

how would you hear of anyone die of hunger when an hungry man wont be taken to hospital. It's the sick people that are taken to the hospital hence the record of their cause of death. So what I'm trying to say is that there are deaths as a result of hunger, just that it is hardly known since the deaths don't happen in hospitals.
the easiest place that something like that can happen is in the village and most villages if not all mostly comprises of farmers...I want to make it categorically clear that in Nigeria with the stable land that we have and produce available,it will be hard to die of hunger...we always look for a way out...some people dia own hunger is dt de don't have money in dia pockets...is a 2weeks lockdown...as a hustler,u ought to know how to manage whatever you have for 2 weeks

If the elites are scared. They should spend some of their billions for the good of society at least for once in their life. How can you lock people up and not provide food for them. Which covid? Just thank god you have food.

But think about it,this action is anticipated.even tho the lock down is a good preventive measure.we both know it's easier for folks wit substantial savings, who can restock thier food supply @will.

wat about those who get paid peanut for working daily /monthly.who don't av even savings watsoeva cos the peanut feeds alot of mouths?.

is it thier excuse of relief packages that will sustain them during the lock down?
Those stupid law makers share alot of Nigerian money in one sitting talkless more.dont be surprised if ppl revolt soon irrespective of the pandemic.we suld chevk d kind of relief packages other countries (who we learning from) did for thier citizens & measure it.

Let's becareful least the revolt spreads

Am not among the protesters nor protesting but I deeply understand them....what they are doing is not wrong in any way

Let me guess that those people protested yesterday. Did government finally feed them yesterday before going back to their various homes? Didn't they survive? Three square meals a day can be cut to two or even one for the two weeks period. That would be more preferable to catching Covid-19 for any sensible individual. You know Nigerians and their likeness for taking things to extreme. They protested and went back home, have they now died of hunger? What they are doing is very wrong by all indications
Re: Lagos Residents Hit The Streets To Protest As Hunger Strikes Hard Amid Lockdown by Reference(m): 9:06am On Apr 02, 2020
Now the crime picture is taking hold as criminals refuse the lockdiwn. Reports this morning that a doctor and head of a Covid 19 task force in a frontline state has been kidnapped on his way home from work.

I was saying it yesterday in a meeting. The lockdown has exposed critical and essential services workers to immense dangers in deserted roads and highways for thise who commute interstate.

Already small hospitals which should be preparing to take up the coming load of non corona patients are scaling back services simply because they cannot afford to get their staff who are not mobile to work. Relatives of these nurses and doctors have to drive them to and from work as public transport grounds to a halt or are to dangerous to board.

Now the kidnapping....how does this encourage medical professionals to keep going. Goverment should wake up. Nigeria is a peculiar country with peculiar problems.

Essential services workers. Please be careful and vigilant. If you live or route through dangerous neighbourhoods consider how you cimmute to and from work. I went through the city of Abuja yeaterday. Totally deserted but masking serious danger.

You all Laughed and scorned
He was arrested, You all Jeered and ridicule him
Now Hunger has done what Sowore predicted
