In this video, Atiku Abubakar’s son Mohammed speaks on some of the experiences he has had since he was diagnosed to be COVID-19 positive.

According to him, on the 20th of march he tested positive for covid-19, later that night, he was taken to gwadalada isolation centre where he has been since. He hopes to be out soon as soon results of his tests are favorable.

He said he made the video to speak on his experience so it can be of help to Nigerians. Though he was nervous the first few days with a little bit of trauma, he grew stronger in mind day by day, because of prayers from random Nigerians, friends, family and associates which made him feel stronger.

He then points out that fake news is very bad AND can compound ones problems especially if one is vulnerable. He gave an example of those people in his estate who he said were among those who spread false news about him when he was tested positive.

He further says the fight against the virus requires a collective effort; In his words, he said “we should come together and see how we can support one another. The quicker the society comes together to collectively fight this challenge, the sooner we overcome”.

Also, he notes that the longer it takes for us to fight this pandemic, the harder the impact it will have on our society as per fatalities. He further stresses that we should work hard to support the government and follow directives so we can overcome the challenge sooner than later. He wanted Nigerians to come together, put aside politics and defeat this pandemic as one.

In his closing remarks, he said we shouldn’t forget to pray and show medical staff support because they are in the frontline and put their lives at risk. We should appreciate and thankful to them.
