The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the recent Covid-19 lockdown has directly ordered security outfits to deploy sincere human empathy while implementing the lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun state.

The lockdown in these three states began on March 30, for a period of 14 days as ordered by the president. This lockdown is to help partly control the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Boss Mustapha, the president of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and also the incumbent secretary spoke during a live briefing, where he commended the effort of Nigerians who have displayed a high level of obedience with the lockdown order.

According to Mustapha, the message from the president is that security agencies should apply caution while enforcing the rules though not compromising standard even when provoked.

The president through Boss Mustapha appeals to the public to remain law-abiding and practice self-resistant, and not to forget the personal hygiene routine as recommended by W.H.O while we fight against the virus.

This is the right time for Nigerians to simply follow all security laid down rules and also for the security outfit to show empathy on their fellow Nigerians. While this extends to market traders, businessmen and women, the Federal government calls out for rate consideration in foodstuff other essential items for daily human usage.
