Brother, those countries you made mention of have a working database that can accurately give them an idea of the approximate number of infected persons daily. But your country has no database and neither is it conducting thorough testing of infected persons, so where are their figures coming from? The fact remains that NCDC(in partnership with corruption) are under-reporting and this is can be very dangerous.

Where are they getting these figures from, we see pictures sick and dead people in US, Italy and China where the cases very serious. What about our pictures and every day our leades keep give unimaginable figures. Let's for once things serious and stop playing politics with everything.

One is 55, unfortunately he also had renal failure and diabetes plus he just returned from Netherland with the virus. He kept this hidden and when he started showing symptoms he went to LUTH knowing well that he has Corona virus and he should report to Yaba instead. Some medical hands suspected that he might be infected but when they asked about his travel history he denied it. They sent him to Yaba where he later died before treatment could be administered but by then he had put many innocent people at risk.

The rate at wish people are testing positive for the virus is also alarming. We may need more than two weeks lockdown and massive testing to contain the virus. The president also need to order a nationwide lockdown now.

Both patients were not treated. One kept it hidden that he just returned, the other couldn't get to the hospital to receive treatment

That is because the rate at which Nigeria is testing people is very slow. Other countries like US test 20,000 people per day hence the massive increase in confirmed cases. Advantage of US over Nigeria is that they can start isolation and treatment almost immediately while In Nigeria, those who have it but haven't been tested are spreading it strategically.

There was one nigerian guy died in america of corona some days ago.
He went to hospital to do test they refused him because he was twenty five years old, and not among "risk group". Many like that were refused to do test in america and most part of the world.

Larger percentage of people with corona do not need test.
They would recover. Even some big percentage will have corona without knowing they are sick because of no symptom.

Lock down and stay at home policy without actions by the government is total stupidity, the truth is the contact tracing is out of control, if the government are just relying on contact tracing then in the coming months this virus might wipe Nigeria out, the best solution is for the government to conduct a door to door testing, if they are waiting for their attention to be drawn to a suspected case then we are doomed cause no one knows how many people the suspected case might have gotten in contact with.
