DESIGNING A BUSINESS ETHICS PROGRAM FOR THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY IN GHANA

Business ethics is a form of applied ethics that examines ethical principles of moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment.

It applies to all aspect of business conduct and it is relevant to the individual and the business organization as well. According to the area of functions, business ethics can be divided into two main headings as;

Normative Ethics
Applied ethics.
Normative ethics deals with how moral values should be determined while applied ethics is concerned with how moral actions can be achieved in specific situation being it medical, technical, legal, business or any other different fields.

Business ethics program helps an enterprise in designing and implementing responsible business conduct that meet emerging global standards, procedures and expectations.

To design and implement a business ethics program for an agribusiness enterprise, which includes the food processing industry in Ghana, there are concepts that help and guide and must be observed critically for effective functioning of the business setup.
