Yes! My profession is a bricks layer. I came to this country from Ghana in a
year 2009. In my staying here. I make good money through bricks laying. I have four kids now. I finished my 3bedroom bungalow in Ghana last 4 years ago. I invested more than 900k on cocoa and coconut farm in Ghana. Now, am not working as a bricks layer but a contractor. Do you known that 80% of buildings in villages are built by bricks layers while 30% are built by bricks layers in cities? For a example 8 flats, 2bedroom plater can course 1.1 to 1.6 million. What's wrong with that is that most of them desiring rich men do nothing too. They're not hardworking too. So, they want pleasure but they hate to sweat for it. So, most of them are actually gold diggers. Rome wasn't built in a day. They should accept hardworking guys and join them to make money. that's the problem with the informal sector, you cant really calculate for them.. they earn what they earn based on efforts the put into the work daily but for the formal sector its a fixed income... 400k is about 13k a day, some earn more than that others earn less

I still don't see what's wrong with ladies wanting the best of men in terms of finances. Why must they always label them gold diggers for wanting security for them and their children? Same way a woman who marries an artisan isn't foolish. She must have seen something in him.
The only exceptions to these are those who should marry a poor man but say no cos he is poor and those who should marry a rich man but are blinded by what they feel for the poor man. My sisters just know what is destined for you and you will be fine.
Don't be like the ugliest lady in her click who wanted a fine man cos all her friends married fine friends which made her standard become so high. Unfortunately for her the very fine men she wanted never gave her face cos no one wanted to be termed foolish for seeing fine girls and picking the ugliest of them all.

my sec sch friend learned tiling immediately after sec sch graduation in 2011. he never furthered his education cos no backup.

now he married at 26 in 2015, has a kid, a car, and moved to to his fine house in 2018. all these achieved less than 30yrs and about 5years in tiling. just laying tiles o..
and his wife is an HND holder and just had second child this year.

pray tell, what other beautiful thing could a man pray to achieve at that age?

Bricklayers dey get money ooooo. In 2007, I had a bricklayer co-tenant in Sango ota and I was feeling I've downgraded my level, being a banker , for being a co-tenant with ordinary bricklayer. In 2008, the bricklayer packed and left me behind in the rented apartment into his own mansion. I was in shock for months and from that moment, I realised I needed a job that would give me more income instead of sitting in the office waiting for the salary that comes like menatruation- comes once in a month and before five days, it is gone. . I was only able to build my house in 2017, that was nine years after. My generator repairer has a big house somewhere in Agbara. Don't underrate anyone oooo. Most of my colleagues in the bank then still find it difficult to pay rent now .

the joke would be on you in the end if you dare look down on people doing artisan works. Academic education is cake, agreed but it's damn saturated. while going to school, have a side hustle that fetches cool money, never rely on degrees and don't let the "Graduate" word go way over your head, it could scam you

Found nothing on page 2, also there's a big difference between a brick layer and a block moulder. That said do not compare the average brick layer to the average doctor or lawyer. It is possible you know a few successful brick layers but on average, it is not a career path one should choose.
