GraGra247: And you could not comprehend his point. He said while you are still at social distance in your homes, the same human beings that supposed to be in the same house with you were busy digging and laying 5G cables, and it's true. The question is: Why are they outside while you were quarantined? 1 Like 1 Share |

Ikpeazukerosene: I'm not too fond of Oyakhilome, but his degrees, while honorary, yes, were awarded by AAU, Ekpoma, and Benson Idahosa University(yes, a private university, but NUC recognized). He certainly did not 'buy' them so to speak (he did graduate from AAU though, and AAU prolly wanted to honor a successful graduate) |

tomdon: You're the one who's wrong There are multiple versions of 5G, including ones that ride on existing 4G technology such as DSS. Then there's mmWave, there's lowband 5G that's in the megahertz range, and the Sub-6 that's below 6Ghz, and many others. The one MTN tested was hitched on their existing 4G equipment. 5G does not mean high frequency, it means 5th generation of mobile digital telephony, and is mostly about wireless speeds at the gigabit range. That's why AT&T is calling its enhanced 4G 5Ge, or 5G evolution. So your claim about frequency is flatout wrong. Verizon uses mmWave for about a year now and so far no one has died from it. We heard the same paranoia about 4G and nothing happened. Even the home microwave oven was said to fry us, and long ago people believed GSM phones caused cancer and fried brains. You people are undereducated to the extent that merely searching Google to update your knowledge gaps is a chore. Edit: Also, the mmWave or high frequency 5G version's waves travel very very short distances, and can be stopped by even simple trees. 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Govt knocks Oyakhilome for calling COVID-19 a scam The National Orientation Agency has berated Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder and President of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, based in Lagos, Nigeria. The Spokesman for the NOA, Mr. Paul Ogenyi, in a chat with The PUNCH, described as unfortunate, Oyakhilome’s claim that the lockdown ordered by the Federal Government in Lagos and Abuja was a mere ruse to lay fibre optic cables in preparation for the launch of 5G technology. Ogenyi said it was disheartening that while even the Pope and other respected clerics worldwide were helping to educate their followers on the dangers of COVID-19, Oyakhilome and his ilk decided to descend to the realm of speculation and spread misinformation The NOA spokesman said, “It is very unfortunate that in this sensitive time that some of our religious leaders are beginning to behave like they are uninformed. The Vatican has issued a directive that there should be no gatherings. The same has happened in Saudi Arabia. “Nigeria has witnessed four deaths and many infections. So, I appeal to religious leaders to seek information if they are not sure of the facts. “I am actually surprised that Pastor Oyakhilome is making this statement despite repeated clarifications by the Nigerian Communications Commission that 5G has nothing to do with coronavirus. “Is he saying the lockdown in the US and China is also because they want to lay 5G cables? If that is what he said then he is not informed and he needs to be educated. Nigeria needs to come together to fight this pandemic. It is real and we must fight it. If this kind of information continues to be disseminated, we will be the worse for it.” Oyakhilome had in a viral video stated that the lockdown was done to install 5G in Abuja and Lagos. He had said, “The Federal Government was pushed to lockdown Abuja and Lagos specifically because of 5G in Abuja and Lagos. They had already tested 5G in Abuja and now they are digging in Lagos to get it ready. That is why they locked down Abuja and Lagos so that the 5G can be installed. “I have said before that what killed people in Wuhan, China, was not the virus but the 5G. If you say it is not, tell us how you discovered yours. The world is not dealing with a virus. This is the biggest deception in the world. You cannot hide from a virus by staying in your house.” *Communication Minister also debunked the baseless conspiracy fallacies Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, disclosed this in an interview monitored on Channels Television. The minister, who was reacting to claims that 5G technology was responsible for the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, insisted that 5G had yet to be deployed in the country. The trials carried out by MTN in Abuja, Lagos and Calabar showcased the capabilities of 5G and its potential to drive economic growth and social inclusion. Shedding further light on MTN’s 5G trials, Pantami explained that the exercise was actually carried out with 4G spectrum, as 5G was not available in Nigeria. The Nigerian Communications Commission and telecommunications operators have also condemned claims that the 5G is causing the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria and other parts of the world. The operators under the aegis of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria and the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria described the claims as unfounded and baseless. They called on all Nigerians to disregard the information that was trending on all social media platforms, saying it was false. The Public Affairs Director at the NCC, Dr Henry Nkemadu, emphasised that there was no correlation between 5G technology and COVID-19 and described 5G as an advancement on 4G technology and had been designed to transform the world positively. He said the trial for the 5G in the country, which lasted for three months, had been concluded and installations decommissioned. “There is no link whatsoever between 5G and coronavirus. The 5G technology will transform the world by connecting everything with everybody. It will create millions of jobs; it will add billions of dollars to the economy and can solve some of our problems such as insecurity and improve governance and efficiency in the society,” the NCC director said. Nkemadu said the recent deployment of fibre in certain area in the country was because there was an urgent need to expand the network to provide optimum capacity for the large amount of voice and data usage which had increased and not for 5G technology. He explained that telecommunication standards were prescribed for use by the relevant international regulatory agencies after thorough and comprehensive tests had been carried out to ensure that all approved standards were safe for the human environment and health. He said spectrum and frequencies used today by the mobile and satellite industries had been extensively researched and were discovered to have no harmful effect on health. “There is no iota of truth that 5G technology is the cause of the coronavirus pandemic. The virus is also spreading in places without 5G networks like Nigeria,” Adebayo said. Also, the President, ATCON, Olusola Teniola, explained that what had been done regarding 5G network in the country was a trial to examine the applications of the technology and was supervised by the NCC. He said the claims of the health impact of 5G had not been substantiated by any conclusive empirical evidence by either the World Health Organisation or other health research institutions. Meanwhile, the senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Yusuf Yusuf, has assured Nigerians that the National Assembly would probe the alleged introduction of the 5G technology into Nigeria without necessary approval. Yusuf, who gave the assurance in an interview with journalists in Abuja on Monday, said the National Assembly would also investigate the relationship between the 5G technology and the spread of coronavirus across the globe. 3 Likes 1 Share |
