If you were the president from a minority tribe with so many forces against you ,what will you do in this situation?explain When you are President you stop representing a 'minority' and start thinking nationally. This 'zonal' na-my-turn mentality is eroding GEJs goodwill on a massive scale!! He just can't seem to grasp the idea of Nigeria as a single entity and its infecting the populace! Under no other leadership has Nigerians' general mood across the country been so tribally charged!!! He seems to have nothing to contribute beyond ' see am, see am, na dem do am'. Very saddening when you consider that eveyone bent over backwards to try to like him! When you're not good enough, you're just not good enough. |

soldee:Excellent post. A pig will remain a pig even when you apply lipstick on her! By the way, GEJ "urges Christians to pray" once again involving himself in another open gaffe. So na only Christians suppose dey pray? Abi na only xtians make up the population. It is becoming clearer by the day that GEJ's agenda transcends being president of 9ja in 2011, but seeing to it that the country collapses. For the first time since 1967, a lot of Nigerians (at least on internet forums) are extremely engrossed in tribal/ethnic and religious bigotry to dangerous levels. This is what you get when you have a clueless man at the helm of affairs of the nation. @ NL's #1 Political jobber aka Beaf/Faeb, I'll advice you stop displaying these toddler tendencies and start to reason like someone who has seen the 4 walls of a school! Please stop these comedic comments as the situation in the country is no longer a joke! |

johndoe200:Sorry my dear, you have never been more wrong at making a guess. I'm a Nigerian and that suffices for now. Talking about getting paid, abeg na who pay me o? I careless about all the thugs in PDP and my candidate of choice, if the decision were solely mine, will be Buhari. I believe many Nigerians are coming to their senses to realize this fact and will vote en-mass to push PDP out of power! |

oyb: The rate at which the man visit different churches, I won't be surprise to see him attending Jumat service at Abuja Central Mosque soonest! Somebody need to remind this man he is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He has a power he doesn't know how to use. |

Mbeki:How else can you know how to use power when you got it for free? I've learnt a long time ago that education does not make you smart. It is supposed to open doors and it's up to you to decide on which of the doors to enter. |

Strong leaders don't invoke religious sentiments all the time. That does not make them less religious; it just means that they are able to separate religion from politics at least in the spirit of our constitution. They identify problems, device strategies to solve the problems and look for able lieutenants to execute their strategies. Prayer is not a management tool for managerial decision making. It is a personal tool for an individual’s success and I am not dismissing the efficacy of prayers. When a president spends too much time at the altar kneeling down in front of pastors for prayer, it might be harmful to his persona as a leader. Whilst the picture creates the impression of him as a humble person with the effect of bolstering his support among his religious supporters, it also creates a negative perception in the mind of the not-so religious as a sign of weakness. We deserve a strong leader who is not afraid to take strong decisions when the situation (at time like this) calls for it. The job of a president is to provide solutions to the problem facing the people and to give assurance by actions that he is on top of the situation. We have had too much prayer and our problems have not abated; we are drifting around in concentric circles with no solution to our problems. |

@ BEAF, i would jut like to ask u a simple question, take jos for example there was the first religious crisis there, Mr Jonathan visited that place, there was heavy military presence there and yet this incident still occured. Abuja again bomb blast on indepdence day, even at the sit of government and the security agents said they were untop of the situation and yet this same still occured again. Dont you think its a failure on the path of the government and its security agents??, because i want ppl to be logical and not just blame politicians for the failing of the security agencies. |
