Gov. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR inspected the ongoing construction of a multi -billion world class Kano Cancer center at Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital.

This center would be the best in the country in both Infrastructure and equipments when completed. The equipments have already been procured and are coming soon.

The Governor was conducted round by the Commissioner's of Works and Infrastructure Engr. Muazu Magaji and of Health Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, Project Managers and the Contractors.

I did some work in a rural part of Kano and saw first hand how helpless some mothers were. Their children were dying of malaria because there were too far from a primary healthcare center. Some healthcare centers were just a dilapidated building with no roof.

This "multibilion naira" facility is being built meanwhile children die of malaria and waterborne illnesses everyday which can be easily treated or better still prevented.

Good to see the state government has got their priorities right
