seunmsg: The 2020 budget was based on oil price selling at $57 per barrel. Considering that the average price of oil was $57.00, with low at $46 and high at $66 the logical approach would have been to base the budget at $30 per barrel to manage any oil price shock. In fact, Nigeria budget should be based on tax revenues and duties. We have an accountant acting as the current Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning three critical ministerial portfolios within one person that has been part of the corrupt Nigerian civil services since 1982 and she is completely out of her depth intellectually and leading Nigeria to complete disaster with her rubber stamp budgets. https://www.macrotrends.net/1369/crude-oil-price-history-chart 1 Like |
