Please, I just need ur opinions and suggestions. My younger brother came to live with me during this lockdown period and his girlfriend normally come visiting him, meanwhile our mum do tell me always to monitor him closely and do guide him always. Now, I don't even know how to tell him to stop inviting his girlfriend at least for now.

Guys, how can I explain to him to stop this act for now that won't cos disagreement? He's 21 yrs old.

Thanks

Can I ask you a question

Are you afraid of your younger brother or you can't speak out

If a very small issue like this you need us to give your courage to talk to your younger brother, so when you guys have family issues to settle you will not attend because you don't want to hurt him

Sest him down and tell him that you don't want him to bring any girl I to this house again and if you see any you will disgrace both of them

He is even your junior brother not even senior and when the girl friend is around you leave the house for them ❓

Are you that weak ❓

Assuming he is your senior, he won't even tolerate such from you

If you don't take authority now, blame yourself in the future

Your brother still dey allow girl visit am for this COVID 19 period? You better tell him to stop now if you and him plus the girlfriend join no wan end in isolation centre, because you never can tell where she don waka reach.

If na me, I go tell the girlfriend to stay away, for the time being. This is not the time to be visiting people upandan!

Stop taking it personal.

If there is anything the op doesn't like about the girl in question maybe she's underage, disrespectful etc it can be a valid reason to ask his brother to end the relationship and even that should not be forced down the young man's throat.

But if it's just because he doesn't like his brother being in a relationship because he's under his roof then it's just envy.

Thanks for ur response. I'm glad

It isn't envy!... The point is that if anything cum later happen at the end . It would be like sebi I'm aware of everything from the onset, I'm only trying to avoid my own from it. I no want mumsy prob. At least b4 coming to live with me, they know where they always meet each other but definitely not mum's house.

From me to you OP. You can't stop your brother who is 21 from having a girlfriend. But u can educate him on the meaning of self isolation and what it was all about during this world lock down. It is for health reason.. No one knows who is carrying what.... Coroner is just by the corner.

Let him know that It was not a holidays where people comes for courtesy visit. Just let him know that so that he can pass the info to the girl friend.

I believe both of u are educated. Talk to him like an adult that he is.not in a condescending manner just because you are older.

Very okay.... Thanks

For him to have the guts to bring his girlfriend into your house, it means you both relate very well. If it's becoming uncomfortable for you, simply seat him down and tell him.

I'd strongly suggest you give him a valid reason why you want her to stop coming, that would help.

Nice point... thanks

Yes we relate very well.

You know this young boys of nowadays, will just assume "egbon yi o ti e ja" ... meaning " one is not in Vogue" but I'm only trying to follow mum's advice that I should monitor him. Make e no go give girl Belle under my roof ... U understand nah

Thanks too

But you are not seating him down to explain the things he already knows

You ate seating him down to give him a stern warning and be serious about it

That dirty act alone is disrespect on you

You mean your younger brother's girlfriend has a probability of bringing CONVID19 in your house and you're casually asking us for solution?

Ok oooo, what do I know sef?

I'm even surprised. That means some people were not taking the virus and the self isolation / social distancing serious..

Lol, different strokes for different folks

Nobody is bragging about having a girlfriend so because you have a house, your siblings cannot be comfortable enough to bring home their prospective partners?

I believe at 21, the young man is no longer a child, he should know what he wants and if being in a loving monogamous relationship is part of it, then there is no problem.

I believe the natural bad belle in African relatives is what is disturbing you and this op. Change.

The only sensible comment so far...

Heheheh children on nowadays get mind oooh.
While I was still in my elder bros house, who born me to carry woman enter house, my bro wud just assume that I have arrived so no more support from him.
@ 21 women shouldn't be his top priority. Talk to him. Tell him you don't want to ever see that lady in your house again period. If he has grown big balls, he should go and lodge in a hotel

Sounds like OP is more concerned about the girlfriend visiting during the lockdown than the fact that his brother has a girlfriend

OP, just tell your brother how you feel. If he can't do without seeing her maybe he needs to move out because they're putting you at risk
