So my mind became a universe of things

And every other thoughts were like the planets

He became my sun

The very centre on which all other things depend

You do not have to look at the sun to feel it's presence

Even if you close your eyes,, there's still this difference when light is present.

It was penetrating

Even though abstract, you feel heat

And then I knew it doesn't have to be concrete to be real

If there's anything more real than light itself

But ofcourse when you look at the sun, it's overwhelming

He became my sun

And I ran from the hot rays

Closed my eyes

Drew my cloak

The calm felt good

I dosed and slept

But when. I awoke

Sunset had come

I grew frantic

Threw tantrums

Muttered incentives

Then it dawned on me

Time had been wasted

Light should be embraced cause darkness is ever present

So I said my goodbyes

And watch the sun go home

Night came fast and slowly

Cold and unwanted

Silent yet frightening

Empty yet full of danger

Ditches speckled my path

Walls and debris sprouted so fast

Bridges broke off real quick in the slumber of the light

But I stood awake all through the night

And pray that I am not already mottled when the sun comes again

I.learnt the hard way, because I learnt in the dark

I learnt the brace the light when it comes again.
