Is it that they've not been substracting the number of discharged and deads from confirmed cases? |

Increased testing, Don't forget we have 9000+ contact of index cases being observed, whose symptoms had hatched and are testing position ,now. Let us not forget what the Director of NCDC said ,2days days ago, that the aim of the lockdown is not to get the disease away ,but to contain it by getting the institution ready and running efficiently within the 10days period. That the virus is expected to get to all the states. Not that the the lockdown won't be opened up but with heavy policies that will still affirm the social distances I believe that a similitude of this lockdown will be our new normal. Even the government are loosing a lot within this lockdown. If this continues they might to be able to sustain their own institutions. We will go back to our works, but status and model we change. Policies like this should be expected. 1.Many will be encouraged to work at home for a while. 2.Schools will still be grounded,or one grade for each day of the week. Markets could be opened but may be allowed to run in different day of the week ,where going out with hand gloves and face mask will be compulsory. 3.churches and mosque may be allowed to run the way they are running for few more weeks. 4.Banks while will only allow maximum of people in their hall. emperor863: That man in Oyo State is a mistake, he doesn't understand anything about governance and he doesn't listen. It's really pathetic! He even claimed that the state has capacity to test 2000 residents daily. Whereas, the guy is still at the stage of "we would do this, we would do that". Ordinary face masks, he couldn't deliver after claiming to have spent 1 billion naira without procuring a single ventilator |

Meanwhile....here is some.very simple logic that someone with your capacity can understand. If cables are being laid for the 5G networks - it means the 5G network are not yet active - It means the 5G networks are not responsible for the sicknesses and deaths. Do you follow? CzarChris: There is no statistics to show Nigeria is about to peak. Your rate of infection per test is increasing and your average new cases per day is almost double previous week. Kano seems to be warming up to outdo everyone and the fact that about 6 of the Kano Covid-19 Task Force members including the Co-Chairman have been infected is not good news at all. Let us not kid ourselves that the situation can be wished away. We need to more than quadruple our efforts. We have just tested less than 8,000 people in a population of 200 million compared to Ghana that has tested over 50,000 people. 1 Like |

Fair logical point. But here's what, the countries you have mentioned allowed the pandemic run off before trying to catch up & find solutions. The only thing nigeria has been trying to do is to prevent such a run off because the healthcare system is in no position to cope with a full blown pandemic. This was the reason for the relatively early lockdown & subsequent extension. It was the same with the Ebola outbreak. Prevention. The Ebola numbers are nothing like they were for other countries hit. Ebola was just as deadly in nigeria, but prevention was the game that was played! cybertron88: 1 Like |

JFT24: Yes, that's how it is done globally. Number of confirmed cases is the most important thing. That's how you know the rate of spread. |

Vulcan24: You can give us your own figure now. NCDC is only collating the figures from the states, I bet you didn't consider that. The same science you believe in should av told u diseases don't change its morbidity rate unless it meets it's resistance No matter what science told us or it didn't tell us, science still remains the solution. Science is the future while religion is the past, and scam too. so check the ratio of spread and mortality in Europe & Africa before u begin to talk like Melinda Gates Melinda Gates cares about Africa, they had been supporting Africa, perhaps before you were born. She has sounded the alarm to the world, Africa is gradually coming up from behind. CanadaOrBust:This shows how much people lack understanding. Pls ask questions if you can't grasp easily, no offence. I watched Pst Chris's video on Covid-19 and 5G. He never said 5G causes or makes people susceptible to covid-19. He said 5G is a part of a grand plan to carry out surveillance on people in the near future. This current pandemic is a bio weapon tested on world population to see how efficient a global lockdown would be. I've been doing research on this subject for years. Every global pandemic has been a bioweapon. Stop tagging everything conspiracy. 1 Like 1 Share |

Why are they not showing us active cases in hospital fighting for their lifes and doctors running up and down to save their life, especially in Lagos where we have more cases. That alone we make people to stay at home without enforcement. Rather they continue giving us figure at night. I don't want to believe what I'm doubting. |
