Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Falana, said on Sunday that the greatest tributes the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd ), could pay to the 19 deceased victims of COVID- 19 in Nigeria, including his former Chief of Staff, the late Abba Kyari, who died on Friday, was for governments at all levels to fix public hospitals .

Falana, who said this in a statement, also attributed the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to official hypocrisy, impunity and lack of coordination between the federal and state governments in the efforts to fight the spread of the pandemic in Nigeria.

Speaking on the urgent need for public hospitals to be fixed, Falana said the treatment of British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, for COVID- 19 in a public hospital in London should be “a sober lesson” for government officials “who usually spend public funds on medical treatment in foreign medical centres.”

Yes. That's the right thing to do. But unfortunately, it won't be done. If Buhari's 5 month stay in UK hospital was not enough to make him fix our healthcare system, then I don't think anything will.
After coronavirus, Abba Kyari and all those that died will be given one minute silence and life goes on.
Buhari is a failure!!

The Nigeria health sector is bad in all aspects, infrastructurally,personel,financing, materially...
Most Nigerians don't know what our sectors are facing as problem because we only see from afar. You won't know how bad the health sector is until you have a patient in the hospital most especially the so called GENERAL HOSPITAL.
- Most hospital lacks modern equipments.
- Government should find a way of providing drugs and treatment even when the patient don't have the complete required money ( a young boy dead beside my cousin at general because of this ).
- Any body that dead because of doctor or nurse negligence,such doctor should be punished.
- Please am urging our government to diligently look into the health sector and make it standard like other countries. Invest the huge money used for traveling abroad for medical assistance on our own hospitals.
- At least this covid 19 as taught many countries a big lesson that they can survive on their own ( health wise ).

I really do agree with falana this time. Hopefully something will be done on the poor health sector we have.

Buhari let himself get humiliated by IPOB in London, England during his 4 month medical tourism in 2017 and he still refused to fix the healthcare facilities back home and even in Aso Rock. You don't know how heartless Nigerian leaders are, they just don't give a f**k-we can all go and die for all they care.
