The defence headquarters said most of the key members of the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad also known as Boko Haram, Islamic sects, has Ben killed in several recent airstrike by the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole at Durbada, Borno state.


This was disclosed by Major Gen. John Enenche, who is the Defence Media Operations Coordinator, in a statement in Abuja, on Monday, April 20, he noted that building belonging to the sects were also destroyed during the attack.


Major Gen. added that the operation was carried out successfully on April 17, based on intelligence reports which was made available to them prior to that time.


The attack was carried out after several intelligence reports was confirmed by the intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission which indicate the hideout of top member of the sects, he said.


According to him, the Air Task Force air flight jet took their dispatch in batch simultaneously making sure they carefully strike their targets which resulted into death of most of the sects’ members.
