• Organize the information you want to insert appropriately. Subtitles, bullet points, informative graphs will help readers easily find what interests them.
• Do you want to suggest to your audience to do something in particular? Make sure your calls to action are highlighted and that the flyer text leads the reader to that point.

• Use customer testimonials to increase reader confidence. Ask your most loyal (and satisfied) customers to say a few words about your company.

• Don't forget your target audience. If you create flyers for a doctor's office it will not be necessary to use complex big words to address patients, while if you manage a company that manufactures auto parts you can use the technical jargon typically used by those in the sector.

• Make sure to include information about where you are: a web address, a social network site, or your physical address.

Tips for leaflet design

As you can imagine, the text is only the beginning. You will also need to make sure that the flyer with a free canvas line sheet template has an attractive design that attracts the attention of your audience.

• Harness the power of colors. The choice of bright colors and the use of contrasts will help you capture attention even from a distance.

• Consider printing two-sided content. If you have a lot of text to insert in the flyer and you can't include it on one side only, double-sided printing gives you more space on a single sheet. This is very useful especially in the case of product sheets and information leaflets.

• Simplicity is the best thing. Do not be tempted by the possibility of using a complex design: based on the text of your flyer to carefully choose the design elements. Empty spaces are needed!

• The title must be clear, bigger than the rest of the text, and well highlighted. By using a different font than the rest of the text included in the flyer you will immediately create a captivating contrast and a focal point to which readers will turn their attention.

• As for the font, keep in mind that size matters. Make sure you don't use sizes smaller than 10 points for the body of the text, to allow customers to read what you have to say without problems.

• Do you want to insert photos? Make sure they have high resolution and are suitable for printing. We recommend using images of at least 300 dpi, that is to say, that is a 215 x 279 mm flyer you will have to insert a background photo of 2550 x 3300 pixels or with about 8.4 megapixels.

In addition to the design, also think about the type of paper to use. Its quality matters, even in the case of small flyers that you will distribute in front of your shop. By choosing a type of paper suitable for the colors and the graphic choices you can create a high-quality flyer.

Opaque and uncoated paper is ideal for simpler designs that don't include bright colors, as the reduced reflectance helps to read the flyers with lots of text and in black and white. Glossy paper will be recommended for designs based on photographs and brighter colors. Do you need a product that lasts longer? The cover paper is ideal in your case, especially for outdoor flyers.

Distribution techniques for leaflets

Once your flyers are printed, it's time to distribute them to your audience! Information leaflets and product sheets are generally distributed to those directly involved, during meetings at your offices, or at a sector fair. If you promote an event or want to advertise your business, you will have to rely on wider distribution options.

The easiest way to get the word out is to leave the flyers right where your target audience generally goes. This is the option that requires less effort since you just have to ask to use a small space on a bulletin board or in a waiting room. If you use an appropriate container and do not limit yourself to placing the flyers on a counter, the result will be extremely professional.

When you leave flyers at another company or store, make sure that customers in that business have the same goals and interests as customers in your business. A beauty salon is a good starting point to distribute the flyers of your new spa, but not for flyers from a manufacturer of mechanical components of an automobile, which can instead be left at an automotive spare parts shop.

The promotion in the street is more expensive but you can make yourself known by more people in less time. Make sure your flyers are aware that they need to have a talk with potential customers and that they have no problem receiving waste. It is not enough to distribute flyers to the public: you must implement a real sales strategy, establishing the right opening questions to ask customers, for example, "What would you do with € 500 more this month?". Make sure distribution agents know enough about your business to be ready to answer any questions.

Door-to-door distribution is also a very effective choice, especially for service companies operating in the landscape, pest control, and home repair sector, as you reach your potential customers directly at home, where they may need your immediate help. This distribution channel is also suitable for restaurants and personal care salons.

Important note: inquire about the laws in force in your geographical area regarding leafleting and especially promotion on the street or door to door. In some places, these techniques are prohibited, while in others there are no limitations unless it is an obstacle for passers-by and does not disturb.
If you have an existing customer mailing list or access targeted mailing lists, consider using targeted campaigns to distribute flyers directly to customers. For this purpose, you can choose to have the flyer sealed or to insert it in special envelopes to create a coherent branding that attracts attention.

Finally, inserting an advertisement in a magazine or newspaper can be very expensive, but the approach offers an unparalleled opportunity to reach out to an audience with common interests. Consider this channel if you operate in a specific sector with sector publications or if a local newspaper or magazine is distributed in your area. The method is particularly recommended for coupons or offers available only by presenting the flyer.

With flyers, you can spread the word.

The world is full of distractions and you only have a few moments to attract the attention of your potential customers. The first impression is what matters! It is amazing the effect that a single sheet of paper (properly designed and with captivating text) can have on your business!
