Hello everyone, this is Vic from http://www.careersnigeria.com/ Just want to appreciate all your support on the free CV service we launched May 25th. It was meant to actually start on June 1st for 3 months, but we started receiving CVs from May 25th and around 250 CVs by May 29th, which wasn't what we expected. Anyway, we had to close the free service on the 1st of June. Altogether, we received 327 CVs. Overwhelming! Our plans was to start returning CVs from that day, but we had to download, save, group them into folders, before I sent them off to professionals in the HR/recruitment industry who are assisting. Because its over 300 CVs, I hoped we will return CVs by today (8th June) See my post here: http://www.careersnigeria.com/2007/06/06/the-free-cv-service-what-is-happening.html Right now, I can't assure that as my collegues found many CVs so hard to recreate - bad errors, no job/title descriptions, no dates, lack of contact details etc, so we have to email many people to get this information. This takes time. Since I want to keep my promise, I resolved to do all CVs for free still, but ended up having to pay some more professionals money to work on your CVs. Thats ok, but I didn't plan that part @Matured26, Sallywendu, Bensogie - ps send me your full name at hello@careersnigeria.com @Bensogie - you are very right. We need more time (15th June maximum) in order to do a good job. @Suwa, thanks for the good word. Happy someone here has gotten theirs This free service which we offered has made me work longer hours the last few days, since I have to look at all CVs sent back from the professionals to make sure all is fine b4 I send them - so this also slows things. And waoh, are some CVs that bad? You guessed right. Thanks for your support guys and have a nice day, Vic |
