The Federal Government yesterday gave a directive that all primary and post primary schools across the federation be closed down till 4th of February. Speakin to Newsmen in Abuja, the minister for state on Education explained the reason for decision. He said that it was a request by INEC to enable them make use of the schools for voters registration. The FG after due consideration granted the request in a bid to portray how prepared it is to support INEC to deliver a credible election to the nation. The minister however pleaded with the principals of schools especially private schools to comply with the directive. |
