Honestly i thought Goodluck and Jega were the messiah Nigerians have been waiting for but they just failed us all. i am highly disappointed in this country. Goodluck and Jega have just sold their intergrity to satan. God is still on his throne and he will salvage this pdp mess in his own way and at his own time.

You guyz busy arguing why Uduaghan won when he was supposed to lose should know this fact. The PDP has a solid political backbone in delta state including the clout when it comes cash doling and come to think of it none of you mentioned the fact that the ACN gave it's backing to Uduaghan because they felt he was the best among the lot which means additional support base for Uduaghan. And people did not appreciate the fact that the election though marred by some usual pocket of violence was in most part peaceful which is commendable if corrective actions will be taken by INEC to make future elections make more serene and acceptable to the populace.

Didn't they cancel the results from the area where ballot boxes were stolen? As yet all you noise makers have yet to show evidence of widespread rigging. Even Sahara is reporting this rigging only took place in a few wards and he their reports they said INEC have acknowledged this. As far as I can see, the majority of Delta people for whatever reason actually voted for that Uduaghan. They may have made the wrong choice but, that is another matter.

Aside from a few issues that have to be worked out (logistics and security), I have some hope that the elections in April will be free and fair whoever wins it.

Ok enough common sense now, you can now carry on moaning about doom, and gloom, and hell, and the end of time.

EDIT: WTH is happening in that video? Did they go to the "Town Hall" or somewhere else? The guy who took the boxes didn't get on the bus with the Youth Corps, Police and others did. So I ask again, WTH is going on in that video?

Thanks for your analysis. You understand the country's politics and i am sure you have been involved for long. Another point I like to add is that the populace still believe in godfathers and opinion leaders. Those are the people that speaks and others will follow. Any political party that think they can win election on the pages of newspapers is only deceiving herself, the elites and the world.

Another thing that has baffled me with Nigeria is that whenever PDP loses at the courts then people start saying that Judiciary is our hope. But wait until PDP now wins at the courts, then the same people say the Judiciary is corrupt. When PDP loses an election, then it is free and fair. But wait until pDP wins again then the election is rigged, Haba!
Admittedly most Nigerians in general do not want to lose at all and they will blame others for their misfortune.
Many of the noise makers on this forum were the same people that told us that Maurice Iwu was the problem with our elections. Alas! we have only done election in one single state with Jega in charge, and still the election is not free. Can't we look to ourselves and admit that we as a nation are not ready for a free election. I am bold to say here that most elections that Iwu conducted were actually fair but not free. But that was not Iwu's fault. The people themselves, I mean the majority has to stand up for a FREE and Fair election otherwise no election in Nigeria will be acceptable.
The 1993 election has been adjudge as the best. Why? The whole country came together to ensure the elections were free so that the military could go.

The video is not conclusive. The ballot box was taken and whoever took it walked casually to a waiting bus, and the 2 Police security escorts, 2 NYSC (ad-hoc staff) and possibly other electoral officers all went and entered the same bus. Could it have been that the snatching was carried out by the very people who were supposed to have conducted the election?

From the post on Sahara, they said New York Times reported the election irregularities, I don't think if a state like delta even showed up in the past month in New York Times, again your Sahara said ballot box snatching. Jega already confirm irregularities in some polling unit and cancelled as it were. That is how you cause rift among people. The guys’ voice we heard in the video was not even accredited from his statement “computer reject my name" I guess you heard town hall in the conversation and those mobile follow suit.  Leave Jega and GEJ out of this. If your wife refuses to give you food tomorrow, you will blame GEJ and possibly, minister of women affairs.

Wondering who is bankrolling the embarassment sahara reporters is turning into. what were they trying to pass across in that video cos i did not see any meaning to that video how are we sure is even the current rerun we saw. Sahara reporters are losing it and i must ask at what cost will they allow deceit to deface their supposed unique intent on educating the public with corrects facts.
