Men, people should try to avoid soldiers as much as possible especially those on duty. Becasue if they beat you, there is nothing you can do. You may come on air and talk talk say this say that, but nothing will happen. Its sad but true.

People sometimes get the kind of society they deserve.

I admit that life in Nigeria is so difficult that we find humor in the most unlikely places (just to maintain our sanity). For this reason, the jokes being made about the alleged assault of the comedians by soldiers do not surprise me. But we HAVE to draw the line at some point.  For over 4 decades, Nigerians have lived with frequent displays of casual brutality by uniformed men. Random acts of sometimes extreme violence by these men (whose uniforms are bought with taxpayers money) have become part and parcel of Nigerian society.

Until we all decide that this kind of behaviour MUST stop, we will not go anywhere.

In case some of us have forgotten, soldiers played a huge part in kickstarting (and accelerating) this country's descent into hell. The senior officers robbed all of us blind during their stints as armies of occupation, while the NCOs and junior members of the thoroughly jaundiced force called the Nigerian army/navy/airforce get their kicks out of beating civilians senseless on the streets. And some of us cheer them on and make excuses for their behaviour.  Where is the outrage?

Its up to us. As long as we tolerate it, the oppression will continue.

My suggestion is: all the comedians of federal republic of Naija should go on an indefinite strike. It would be fun to watch the executive rushing to emergency meetings with other arms of government in order to negotiate.

What makes them different?How many soldiers listen to jokes?In this kind of gathering all the invited entertainers should mone en mass,all the invited gelagates should move together,actually i don't blame those soldier's they are doing there work.Imagine Bomb Blast every day,Once they fail to identity themselves ,the soldiers' are not to be blame.Even journalist are beaten up everyday,please in this kind of gathering people should be careful, I go dye sorrryoooo,I go save God go save you.

So na ordinary ppl like me den suppose beat I f we mis behave? Stardom suppose make you understand many things including security procedures and the consequences of an attempt to breach it. It's even better in 9ja elsewhere UK, US Canada etc, you'll be pinned down , whisked away and interrogated immediately for attempting that in a rally where the President of their country is attending! I dislike it when ppl extrapolate what they seee in Hollywood films ( on military or security/ public relationship) and thought it the same in reality.
