They've long invaded the systems with the aid of some insiders in the banking industry.Though their level of invasion is limited for Now hence they call their potential victims with the aim of trickishly extracting more vital info

Thieves are occupying sensitive positions. From various government houses to various parastatals to various banks and to the streets.

This isn't new

But just to be safe

Stop filling all thr forms you see on whatsapp broadcasts,

FG is not sending money to anyone yet

All those foundations popping up here-and-there are not real too, all they do is harvest your information

Finally one link went viral 3-4 weeks ago about CBN business loan for enteprenure I believe some people were behind that too

Bottom line remain careful where you drop your info

And when they call you with mtn glo airtel looking number, don't reveal your details

Personally, any application or anything of that sort that requires me to fill in sensitive details like my BVN or even phone number is a red flag, no matter how genuine it is. Also, it is possible that hackers have hacked into "the database" and/or someone on the inside is leaking these sensitive information to these hackers. I just hope that things won't get out of hand that we would have to withdraw all funds from our banks and bury in a clay pot behind our houses.

What a useless country.
The fraudsters even continues to use the same number for long now and our useless intelligence can't track him down for a good mob action before hanging.

What a shame.

I'm sure it'd be one on this mischievous sacked staff of a bank...

God bless you Sir!

It's very likely that these same app owners sell credit card details and "BVN" to people!
It will be hard for banks themselves to actually leak out such things or be infiltrated easily, if they can get that deep into a highly private part of customer information, they would likely not have a problem stealing the funds.

Beware Of Fraud. Seems Fraudsters Have Invaded The Bvn System

Just got a call from one mobile number telling me they are upgrading the BVN system. He called out my full name, bvn number, and was trying to confirm my date of birth.

Three things i drew conclusion on. Either the BVN system has been infiltrated, or the banks have disposed sensitive documents carelessly, or essential workers in those banks are giving out customers details to fraudsters

Please put it on front page for wider circulation. The Fraudsters number is busy, so he may be calling many customers.

Please when you receive any call from a bank, don't divulge any information on the phone. Take time and go to the bank and confirm because these people are desperate to scam o

Our people will never learn.

Later they will come and be screaming scam scam scam like wetin.

The rule is simple: DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY SENSITIVE INFORMATION OF YOUR BANK DETAILS TO ANYONE.

Posted April 23rd, and making front page after 1 month.
If truly there was a leakage of confidential information, or fraudsters were making progress in their hack, it will take a month for the mods to put it on their domain's front page.

But write about Regina Daniels tattoo, or snake killed in a bush... And watch how it will be on the front page.

To OP...
I don't think having your BVN by those fraudsters will gain them access to your money. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Most transactions will require either your pin, secret question's answer, signature or their combinations.
In all, let everyone be careful with their details.

o.p there is no way an individual can get ur bvn number. like what we do in our branch is that after balancing we normally shredd all documents with a shredder before they are carried out by security for proper disposal is either the bank u're using disposes her customers sensitive document improperly or someone is actually leaking out ur Bvn.
It is always adviceable to Shredd all document from the bank at each day of banking activity.

Some bankers are employed to scam. If you don't have money in your account they won't call you. They focus on scamming elderly people with fixed bhalances.

i swear u are right. The exact same thing happened to me.

He was dubiously trying to get card details from me.

What is scary is that he knew all d accounts connected to my BVN.

I have tried calling my bank as regards this but as usual they are unresponsive
