Southern Nigeria Will Regret Not Taking Ghadafi's Advice. by mekaboy(m): 12:16pm On Apr 24, 2020 |
Ghadafi advised that Nigeria should be divided along religious lines. This would have created a Northern and Southern Nigeria. Having 2 presidents. This would have brought the following advantages to the south. 1) Election of presidential candidates would have been based on education, experience and competence. 2) majority of voters would be educated and exposed people 3) resources spent tackling terrorism and insurgency over the years would have been channelled towards development. 4) less farmers herders clash and bloodshed. 5) easier to manage population of educated and skilled people. Creating more jobs. Today the north that is the least educated is the most qualified for employment in government agencies. The north groomed terrorism and sucked our nations resources through the channel. Coronavirus have come and it also has become a channel to divert funds to the north. But i wish the problem was just the north using coronavirus to suck our resources. That would have been bearable . My greatest fear is how the north will serve as an incubator for coronavirus and distribute it all over the country. That is when the south will regret not making the move. 42 Likes 2 Shares |

Northern and Southern Nigeria makes a lot of sense. No tribe resembling hausa or northern tribe should be allowed in the south and predominantly Islamic states in the middle belt should join the North. That said, true federalism must be practised in the south. This is a tall order though. A more achievable option is making Nigeria a fiscal federalism. Maybe one day making Nigeria a fiscal federal state will top my agenda by running for president. I will only do this after making sure my core businesses are no longer located in this country. The road is long and tedious but persistence will get us there. 9 Likes 1 Share |

mekaboy:if you spend a day without showcasing your inborn hate that your grandma passed to you since 1966 will you die.? Is it the north that is your councilors? Is it the north that is your local government chairmen? Is it the north that represents you in your state house of assembly? Is it the north that represents you at the federal house of reps.? Is it the north that represents you as senators? Is it the north that govern your various states? Since the returning of democracy in 1999, the south has rule for 14 years while the north have only 7years. Why then are you blaming the north? Oh oh l forgot, your purpose on Earth is to hate and blame others. Ojukwu decided to fight Nigeria but also blame Nigeria for not given him food. Stop the hate,it kills faster than Corona virus. STAY SAFE. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

I remember idiots like Senator David mark, Ibrahim mantu, bello Masari insulting Ghaddafi then for his innocent and practical suggestions. . The overfed buffoons even claimed Ghadafi wanted Nigeria divided so that he would become 'President of Africa'. In hindsight I think Gadaffi was a great visionary. 22 Likes 1 Share |

Miracle1991: Are you this dumb? Have you not read my accounts of Nigeria/Biafra war on this forum? The foolishness of most Nigerians is very astonishing. Ojukwu did not attack the so-called Nigeria. Ojukwu did what any reasonable person will do if his people were under attack as in case of Biafra. By the way, I participated in the silly carnage brought about by the idiocy of Gowon. If what Gowon did in 1967 by attacking Biafra to form so-called Nigeria, why are people still calling for disintegration of shithole called Nigeria? 16 Likes 1 Share |

zionmde: True! But I think it would be easier uniting the southern people in a Southern/South Nigeria, than in the present format we have, reason being that the Southern "elites" have accepted the role of second fiddle to their Northern counterpart; while these Southern "elites" try to outsmart one another on who should be the best bride for their Northern lords, they keep the Southern masses more divided. The Southern people ("elites" and masses) - with all their over-hyped education - are only concerned with who plays the second fiddle. The North should not be blamed for the foolishness and selfishness of the Southern "elites." |

Sctests: You are absolutely correct. I remember watching David Mark on NTA then calling Ghaddafi "a mad man". Where is David Mark today? He has remained a very useless piece of waste. He has been in government for a very long time, and yet his people are among the most beleaguered and benighted section. So much waste of human lives So much destruction of things that support life. David Mark may very well now belong in the mold of worthless and failed politicians from Middle Belt region who once had a chance to make things good, but were too selfish to see far and wide right into the future. For a fact, any clear-sighted person will not find it hard to see That Southern states could have easily gone in one direction, call it the Federation of Southern States of the Niger (FSSN). It would have been easier to push such a project constitutionally in the National Assembly. All Southern people would have done was to convince at least two or three states front the North Central like Benue, Kogi and Kwara to join the project. That would have produced a majority vote in the house. They had a chance. Their selfishness clouded their vision. Look at the filthy country called Nigeria today. Look at us. And yet it is not too late for redemption. Biafra, Oduduwa, Benin Kingdom, State of Niger Delta, etc can all be in a Confederation. We can call it United Nations of Atlantis. Yes, we can very much take up the name "Atlantis" since it forms a large part of our territorial waters. We may even go by "Confederated States of West Africa" or "Freely Associated States of West Africa", "Free States of West Africa". Alternatively we can form a very strong true federation with the name : "Republic of Africland" with Biafra (Hinterland Igbo states, Anioma and Igbanke) Oduduwa (All Yoruba speaking states). Edo (Old Benin Kingdom with modifications) Niger Delta (Bayelsa, and all Ijoid peoples of Delta State, Edo State and Rivers State) Calabaria (Akwa-Cross), Safaria (Benue-Kogi-Kwara), East Coast (Ikwerre and all Igboid peoples of Rivers State) as the federating regions. And have rotational presidency and popular secession enshrined in our federal constitution. We can be anything we want to be. Igbos and Yorubas can very much work together. The earlier they forsake petty useless squabbles and work together, the faster they will achieve a common goal of true liberation from a decaying retrograde relic of colonial subjugation called "Nigeria". 4 Likes 1 Share |

Miracle1991: He's talking about the status quo which is the problem of the country.... True federalism should be the solution But the northerners will definitely block that All these politicians are selfish and corrupt .... Stale and endless rant... As long as southern Politicians dine with northern politicians then Nigeria will not be divided any time soon. As long as businessmen from both regions are gaining profit day in day out then Nigeria will be one forever. As long as Yoruba are majority Muslims then Nigeria will never be divided.. there is this strong bond associated with religion My verdict based on what I observed is Poor people and Middle class from the south are suffering from an inferiority complex, they always think that North is a huge threat to them. What baffles me is they always call the northern region with all sort of derogatory names but yet they feel threatened whenever the name North is mentioned. My question is since southern Nigeria claim that they are the most educated and enlightened people why can't they take over the affairs of the countries from the North? I guess their education is useless since the least educated region is piloting the incidents of the countries. 1 Like |
