There is no harm in suggesting, they are his appointees, they all came out from briefings, he should have made all his suggestions to them. Coming to a press conference and saying it, then he is suggesting to the whole world. What does he expect people to do with the info..if not to go and try out disinfectants. No other president in the world is making such hasty and crazy suggestions....

He is the president, he should get his men to work on his half-baked ideas, when it is cooked and done, he can come and beat his chest to us, that he solved it.

Haven't you seen what goes on in other countries? It's usually the experts that do most of the daily briefing. The president or head or govt shows up once in a while, and it's usually to shore up goodwill.

But in Trump's case, it's either he's touting fake and unproven remedies, openly fighting or insulting reporters for asking the tough questions, or worst still, indulging is his usual nauseating self praise for 'a job well done'

Only a dumb person asks questions like this . Why you sef wey no be POTUS no carry Dettol or Spirit go drink when you sick? Isnt that common sense? That is exactly why it is written on the dettol pack to not ingest it because of people like trump - he is dangerously dumb and uninformed about basic things

Instead of making dumb statements like this, he can ask in private and seek for explanations - google too is there - but he says he knows it all and thus does not need help

Although, disinfectant like chlorine at a minimal and quantified level, kills microorganisms, thus, it's uses in drinkable water and swimming pool. Meanwhile, Mr Trump shows that he can no longer shoulder the affairs and welfarism of Americans.

Except the man never said disinfectant like spray or bleach, he was talking about using light to disinfect the body, this treatment while unproven or untested is certainly a possibility that should be looked at for crucial cases especially since warmer regions are showing more resistance to the virus than colder ones. The way the opening post was written suggested he was talking about your household disinfectants like Dettol or something.

What I see, is a truly concerned president, who really wants to stop this pandemic.

Trump, is one who just won't stand by without seeking a solution or finding a way to make things work.

I've worked with people like him and we make tremendous progress.

Politics aside, you'd like to have a Trump in your team if you're result oriented.


After Trump, American would have a painful opposite of him as POTUS, just as in Nigeria.

When most people hear disinfectant, what comes to mind are the liquids (lysol, bleach, dettol, etc.). That fact prompted manufacturers to issue warnings not to ingest their products.

And anybody who's gone to school would understand that UV is actually quite dangerous. You don't even need to go to school anymore; just google or wiki subject matter - take time to read opposing views; and ask your experts first; before conjecturing or suggesting in a public meeting.

UV kills bacteria and viruses, as well as human cells. Maybe he will blame scientist for publishing "fake science" once more.

Nobody is saying that UV is not dangerous. But that has not stopped it from being used as a form of treatment for cancer.

Trump was merely seeking clarification from the medical experts and reporting what they are trying.

He never asked people to start using UV disinfectant as a Corona virus treatment.
