Does it matter? see as you carry religion for head.
It does because the op emphasized his/her Christianity while helping his Moslem neighbours.
So the relevant question should be,how many fellow christians and atheist has he/she helped.
Otherwise he/she is using the anonymity of Nland to make a foo lish point.
I bet if this is tried on Twitter or Facebook with no anonymity status, would be made to run away from those forums for a long time.
Why not simply say I helped my community without my own and the helpees religion,if he/she doesn't have a sinister motive.

I'm a Christian, and due to the lockdown I decided to share a little foodstuffs to my Muslim neighbours even though I don't have much. I never did it for the Gram or for any show off, I just want to encourage us to help anyone we're capable of helping irrespective of their religion, culture and tribe.

This is the difference between a follower of Christ and a Church goer.

How many Christians in your neighborhood have you helped?

How does it concern you busy body? If you want to beg for food, just beg shamelessly.

hope they will collect it, tried it before and it was rejected.

Maybe yours is Xmas gifts. But this, yes we will collect it with joy. Some of us (Muslims) don't eat Xmas food because we don't believe in the celebration of birthday of Jesus and mind you some of us Muslims don't celebrate the birth of our own prophet too.

Wow this is new, I thought celebration of the birth of prophet Mohammed was a universal thing.

Until you give and take off your mind immediately after you did it, you never become a true giver. Many people will never accept this fact because they are all a baby giver and they will do worst. Who encouraged op to do it if we have to say her publicity is to encourage others. Giving is a thing of mind and genuine givers will do without all this so called public ego. See what publicity at every opportunity cost Funke Akindele.

We didn't need to know about this.

It just feels like you're unnecessarily blowing your trumpet, calling attention to yourself and saying hey look at me, look at what I did, look at my good deeds.

It also comes across as an immature move where you're seeking applause and validation from people who don't know you and whom you don't know.

It would have been better, if one of your neighbours who is a recipient of this gift posted this and not you.

Seriously, we didn't need to know.

OP, sadly, you couldn't overcome the temptation, as someone wrote.

In case of next time:

“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (Matthew 6:2-4 NIV)

Peace.

Thank you ma.
I was not actually condemning ur giving spirit but I felt we need to be botherless once we have done it. It is great to be a giver but it is greater to do it n allows the receivers do the publicity if they wish. Matthew 6vs1-4 explains it well, We are all here on this platform to learn.
