In Part 1 of this thread, I promised to refer Nairalanders to a website where they can see actual auction prices from the US. In doing that, I converted the prices from Dollar to Naira. Since the exchange rate goes up and down, I have decided to leave the prices in US Dollars. So the prices you will now see at the site are actual auction prices. Absolutely nothing has been added or removed. Here is an estimate of what to expect if you see a car you like: 1. $X – Where X is the car Price. 2. $200 – Buyer Success Fee (goes to the auction company, not me). 3. $150 to $500 – Cost of shipping from auction to Port (depends on location). 4. $1000 – Cost of shipping to Nigeria for all types of cars and jeeps. 5. $X – Where X is my commission for facilitating the transaction (negotiable). If you don’t already have the link to the site, email [email]BizzBooks@aol.com[/email] for it. If you bookmarked it earlier, the bookmark may no longer work as a lot of pages have changed. There are currently 500 cars on the site consisting of the following: 1. Honda Accord 2. Nissan Murano 3. Nissan Pathfinder 4. Nissan Xterra 5. Toyota 4Runner 6. Toyota Camry 7. Toyota Corolla 8. Toyota Highlander 9. Toyota Rav4 10. Toyota Sienna P.S: You will notice that the pictures are now smaller. It is intentional. With 50 cars per page, that became necessary for faster loading. If they are bigger, the pages will take a long time to load for visitors with slow internet connection. However, I have the full size pictures. They are available upon request. showreals: You are right. It says $999,999 for a 2010 Corolla. That must be a mistake. I have checked the raw data from the auction site and it has the same information. |
