Piroxicam the one with sharp yellow/blue color and ciprofloxacin. Learn to change your brush every two months and brush twice a day.
This is no permanent solution to an impacted tooth..

You CHOP of the nerve SUPPLY to a tooth and the tooth is DEAD..

Unless you are talking about an RCT(Root Canal Treatment),of which these teeth are not candidates..

What use is the tooth, other than occupying space/causing pain?........... grin

RCT, is something completely different.......

hello nairaland doctors i need help here. pls overlook any typo error.

i am over the age where the 4 widom teeth (the molars) of an adult normally grows.

the thing is while the two molars at the top jaw grew without any problem, the other bottom two refused to grow out. i really didnt notice until two year ago when i started having gum aches from both sides of my bottom jaw. at first the pain was mild but it came back two weeks later and this time it was more severe. this made me count my teeth and i discovered i only had 30 teeth instead of 32.

i didnt take it seriously but the aches continued forcing me to see a dentist.
after a minute checkup the doctor told me i had a condition known as an impacted tooth. according to him, my bottom jaw was smaller than my teeth set and that made it impossible for my molars to grow out. he said the pain i felt was due to the two molars trying to push against the obstruction of the jaw.

i asked for a soln and he told me that the only way pluck out the molars. i didnt have a problem with that until i asked for the price.

he told me that the removal of both teeth would cost 15k each. i shouted and he shouted back. i left the office angrily but not before he told me that by the time i get to 26 i will be the one begging for the procedure.

the truth is since the time i did that checkup the gum aches have been coming up periodically. i have been fighting it with warm water and salt but the pain normally comes back after a couple of weeks with each emergence more severe than the last.

so i really want to know if there is another alternative to deal with the ache without parting with my 30k.

i recently noticed with the help of a mirror that there have been little signs of the molars showing up, though majority of the whole is still buried under the jaw.
Go to LASUTH in Lagos, I removed mine at N2500 each

Use oral B , Dabur or any green toothpaste, stop using close up, I have similar case with you 10years ago, when I was recommended to use the toothpaste it does wonders, I have used hydrogen peroxide but the severe pain will come back few days later.

This is very interesting. Pls, is there no way you can snap the product package. Try and post the number you said is not going, you never can tell, one can still do investigation and get the identity of the persons who once used the number and possibly locate the herbalist. Pls, its very important. In view of the Covid 19, there is need we start promoting our local herbal medicine practitioners especially those whose claims of their product is true. HERBALIST is used here not to mean Babalawo or vudu, or Juju type practitioners oh!

I will advise you from a professional point of view. There is nothing you can do. Those teeth has to be extracted. That's THE ONLY SOLUTION.

However, I will advise you go to a teaching hospital. The cost of the extraction will be cheaper there than in a private hospital.

But don't take any herbal concortion. You will only be doing yourself more harm than good.

EXTRACTION IS THE ONLY SOLUTION!

Toothache?

Very terrible pain when one has it. If your dentist has charged 30k kindly pay and get them off. Other dentists may charge close to that or more. Some dentists too are not too professional.

Just dental implants can cost you over 150k for each tooth.

I do not see escapes routes with dental problems when they have to do with extractions. Some people suggest herbal portions but honestly in the end they fail. You return below square one.

So, how does this translates to some dentists not being professionals?

Dental implants are very expensive and I am surprised you called 150k for each tooth. That should be cheapest you will get.

It's not a must you have a dental implant. You can have a removable partial denture or a dental bridge (a bridge is also expensive, but not as expensive as an implant).

Generally, many dental procedures are expensive. That's the simple truth!

said it happened 5 yrs back...we went ahead n even visited the transport company my aunt entered and plead with them to analyze dier manifest of the said date, we were allowed after going tru xo many stress and saw that she was travelling from lagos to abia n a worker thier said that she knew d woman, her husband is a herbalist and the father of his husband once worked in okija and the woman is very powerful....said she heard the woman is dead bt can giv us her name, address and the location of her village if we are ready because they are both from same village...that if we want to visit we should make sure that we are spiritually clean n fortified (thats where I lost interest) and visit with gifts for the gods because she stays in an isolated place tjat looks like a shrine, even if she's dead we would meet her siblings n daughter that took over from her and she would give us the answer we seek and mayb do business with us..

RCT, is something completely different.......
If you are not talking about RCT,then what you are saying makes absolutely no sense..

The ONLY way to cut off the nerve supply to a tooth and still retain the tooth in the mouth, without complications,is by doing an RCT..

These are impacted 3rd Molar teeth,of which removal is the ONLY option..

I was just piqued by your nerve extrication option.. shocked

I have, and did not involve RCT........... (my personal experience) Not hearsay.......
