I agree with this. Being getting the Error 502...Bad gateway all morning. I suspect its server downtime.
fratermathy:

Well, with the unpredictability of IRCC these days, no one can tell what new methods they've devised. Normally, ghost updates do not prevent the application page from loading. To confirm server downtime, if you allow the application page to continue loading, it'll show you a 502 error page.

Maybe i will learn it the hard way too lol, You mean when i applied for visa itself or when i did biometrics?
30 seconds? I do check it every 10 seconds lol... but Jokes apart do you think everything will be sorted out before December ending(I mean the medical request, PPR and others) some people who did there biometrics in October are even saying they haven’t started reviewing eligibility for them

Thanks

Have they started reviewing your eligibility?

Hello,
Please I’m trying to pay my deposit tuition fee of 2650CAD in order to get an Acceptance letter from Centennial College.
I have emailed the school for their Bank details for traditional Bank transfer but I haven’t gotten a response in a week.
Is there anyone who has paid the deposit tuition fee to Centennial College? Please what method did you use and what was the process

Good morning people!

Quick question?

Going for co-op program, is one required to apply for work permit alongside their study permit?
because I think I might have missed it cos I applied for study permit only.

Please any info would be appreciated.

Meanwhile, is it possible to get ones passport back from VFS Lagos if it’s not been processed to IRCC? So I can send it to a different location. Since they’ve refused to give me any information whatsoever as regarding what’s happening with my passport.... This is day 10, no tracking ID, no feedback, nothing!
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Tenianu: 11:48am On Nov 16, 2020

Bros we are in the same shoe oh!!!! It's 12days now still counting that my passport was received by Mr. Festus in VFS LAGOS. I am yet to hear anything from them. They are not even responding specifically to my email to acknowledge receipt of my passport. Getting them on phone is a herculean task. They just kept me in the dark.

As you were applying for VISA, did you indicate your course has a co-op?
i ask because on registering for the visa, you will be asked and if yes, you will be required to upload your your admission letter. On the IMMM form, you were asked.

I’ve called several times over the last few days and it’s like they’re reading the same script every time .... “we’ll get back to you by the end of today sir” Then nothing, I don’t get any information from them

Hello dannybomb,

Just like @lekkiboboe said,

To apply for your Canadian visa, you need to show your 1 year tuition and 10,000 cad for upkeep.

10,000 cad alone is 3 million Naira. Your tuition for a year would be 10,000 cad or more (so budget should be 3 million and up for 1 year tuition) When you add both of them, that’s 6 million. So the minimum amount you should have is 6 million. The tuition can even be more depending on your school.

And your sponsor cannot have 6 million exactly, because it’s not possible for him to give you all his money. So he should have way above what you need. The canadaian journey is expensive. If you’re looking for something more affordable, check Europe.

All the best

I am Sefl-sponsored. I have about ($14,000CAD approx) in my accounts statements put together, and I am planning on paying my one year's tuition from some other source. Is it mandatory to show the mode of transaction as to how tuition was paid??, or would providing just receipt of payment from the school and my bank statements suffice

For those that recently submitted passports to VFS Lagos and haven’t received any notification from them ...did you include your biometric slip in the package you sent to them? Not BVL o...the slip you got when you did your biometric...

If you didn’t, it’s either you pay the N7,430 biometric transmission fee (and scan the evidence to them via email) or you scan and send the biometric slip to them via email..

Hope this helps...

Heard they won’t work on your passport and will try to contact you...(which they may not do promptly)
