Hello Nairalanders. Just did a search about the sea mammal that was killed in one of the South-Southern state. (Bonny island in Rivers State). It is actually Basilosarus. It is deckared extict.
Just imagine the excitement that would have been in the hearts of scientist knowing that the animal thought to be extinct is discovered in Nigeria. see details below.

Not just extinct, also prehistoric, which means it's as good as seeing a dinosaur or mammoth or sabre-toothed tiger in the flesh.
