So, the reality is that Nigeria has no capacity for COVID-19 presently and the government is not telling us the truth.

Yesterday, a friend called me that he was having difficulty breathing, he’s been weak and has pains in the heart.
I immediately told him to race to Landmark isolation Centre in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos. He went there straight but was turned back, as he was told that it’s only meant for those who have tested positive already. I encouraged him to wait till day break so he could go to Yaba, the main COVID-19 center in Lagos.
On reaching out to Yaba, he was told to describe his symptoms on record by way of sms and send it. In response, he was told that he could not be tested this week again as they are already booked for this week. He will be programmed for next week for his test. So, what happens to him between now and next week?
A similar situation was reported in Ajah early this week. They called NCDC in Lagos and they kept postponing the test. By the time NCDC officers got to Ajah the man had died and the family resisted them from carrying the corpse.
So, the reality is that Nigeria has no capacity for COVID-19 presently and the government is not telling us the truth.
Please do all you can to stay safe, to be sure that you’re not infected at all, as it now takes prayer and connection to even be tested how much less get treated.
What the NCDC told the nation is that people are not coming up for tests and that there is capacity.
Please do all your best to stay safe and if you have any connection to help my friend get tested quickly, please do help me.

God bless you all.

The margin between Senegal’s IGR and that of Lagos and Ogun I’m sure would be very small. Yet, senegal is able to develop mass testing kit on their low budget and are reportedly the third in the world in managing this pandemic. Our own leaders doesn’t know anything other than lock them away and share the funds. Now the treasury is dried , they have realized that lockdown will crash the nation since IGR is also affected by the lockdown hence the call for intra-state free movement. The Monday night 45 minutes president will soon announce it. God’s protection is our only hope in Nigeria pending when our big sisters will anounce the vaccine to use.

Most unfortunate but the truth is that the story is the same abroad. You can't even go to the hospital in the early stages in some cities there as explained by someone who was affected and had to self isolate and battle the virus at home. Luckily it was mild and she pulled through by complying with medical advice.
There's shortage of facilities and manpower everywhere. That's obvious. I don't believe that there's any intention to ignore anyone.

Let's appreciate and keep praying for our frontline personnel. This is no time to drag issues in public space. There are better ways to manage this and achieve results.

Not prepared in any way.

Worse still, its not something fire brigade approach can solve.

Even China, Russia and USA started making arrangements for huge hospitals even with what can be called excess hospitals in their countries.

Unless by a twist of fate, something happens, am still afraid

The way some people go from thread to thread to promote the lockdown clearly shows that they have been jobless and idle even before this lockdown and will remain jobless and idle even after the lockdown.

The lockdown has been a way of consoling themselves since they now see working and ambitious people at home too. With this, they will say anything to promote lockdown because they are afraid of facing reality.
