With the reduced death rate of the global pandemic coronavirus in the middle east country of Iran, the government has come out to announce that the worst cases are over and within a short period of time, the virus will have little or no victim in the region.

This official statement was made by Iranian health minister, Saeed Namaki during a press briefing. So far, the pandemic had more than 5,000 fatalities but day by day the number of death has begin to depreciate.

Namaki's remarks came in a videoconference with World Health Organization officials, whom he called on to press countries to lift their economic sanctions against Iran. So far, direct calls for Washington to lift the sanctions have been to no avail.
