Information indicate that Dr. Andy Uba has won the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] Senatorial ticket for the Anambra South Senatorial District. This was the result from a PDP electoral exercise held today in Awka, Anambra State.

The PDP contest held between Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu, Dr. Andy Uba, Hon Barr Nnamdi Ezike saw Andy Uba the big winner. The delegate scores were as follows:

Andy Uba - 1766

Nicholas Ukachukwu - 68

Nnamdi Ezike - 72

With this victory, the political terrain of the south district in Anambra appears a little clearer. For the general elections, Andy Uba will match up with the former PDP house of representitive from Ihiala in the person Chumah Nzeribe. Chumah Nzeribe is flying APGA colors.
