195 in a day? Wey man wan run enter now? It's has gone out of control. I'm sure those who attended Abba Kyari's burial two weeks ago are now manifesting symptoms.

It's only sensible to be sincere with ourselves and ask if it is reasonable to relax the lockdown.

Nigeria will soon be overwhelmed. Hunger can be managed, but exponential growth of COVID-19 confirmed cases is deadly.

I'm at a cross road really, no signs of the spread slowing down and lockdown gonna be relaxed in some days.
If only the lockdown can be extended, but then people are starving.
All these is an effect of having a government let by an abject novice. I mean what is the point of lockdown for over a month with less than 10k test carried out?
To even think countries with far lesser population and resources are doing more and better than us is an insult.
Our leaders especially the federal govt are embarrasments.
I've tried to keep an open and realistic mind concerning their response to this pandemic but yeah they messed up badly in that regard. It's like we totally had no sort of infra for something like this. Still opening labs every week sad. No research, nothing angry. I even learnt recently that our first test was done in south Africa though I don't know how true that is sad

. It gives me a lot of concern to see the spread of Covid 19 in Nigeria..I am of the opinion that it will still spread like a wild fire in this country..The PMB should jhave locked the country down again for additional two weeks but the state governors disagreed with him. They disagreed because they did not want to spend money they have on this emergency. They wanted the president to give them money for the lock down..He however asked the governors to adopt what they like in their states. Many Nigerians want to go out because there is no meaningful palliatives for them...They have been abandoned by the politicians and our leaders Covid 19 is now increasing in Oyo and other states in Nigeria. If we think it is over we are DECEIVING ourselves..Nigeria may regret lack of will to fight it logically by locking down the whole country for a week or two and giving citizens robust palliatives. We should have learned a lesson in Spanish Influenza of 1916 to 1918..

My main fear is Up North. With that their "i don't care" mentality, coupled with the way they commute and habitate,i just feel sorry for this our nation because we could be the worst hit country.
All the nations of the world will send their doctors and it will not be enough.
The north needs education and enlightenment at this early stage, if not it will be worst than polio that ravaged that region some years back.

huuumm make dem still use style show Nigerians the isolation center with the patients in it now. Other countries did it. If this is done it's going to increase the level of seriousness of compliance of Nigerians. When they see people struggling for breath even with ventilators on they will know it's a serious issue
Yes, especially the doubting Thomas amongst us...

Our situation is quite critical, lifting the lockdown ain't good enough for us at this time, but the government ain't doing enough to cater for people's basic needs during this peiod undecided

Death is coming for us all. If America has close to 60,000 deaths as of today, what's the hope for Nigeria. The only way to slow down this is for shut down not to be lifted.

Transportation in Lagos is a death trap. Market is a death trap. Hospital is a death trap. ATM machine is a death trap. There are millions of ways to catch this and there is only one way to survive if you are lucky......An immune system that can fight this.

You have a very vital point there. I have been wondering why Nigerian government is handling this COVID19 stuff completely in obscurity...no transparency at all. This is not what is obtainable in other countries. Again, the situation is very confusing now. If the lockdown is eased, nobody needs a soothsayer to predict figures will skyrocket but then, how do people survive in perpetual lockdown in their houses? Hunger is ravaging them terribly at the same time. Which way? I would still say government failed at the point of zero as far as this COVID19 is concerned.

Kindly use your brain

US, UK and Italy has been on absolutely total lockdown since February and they are still recording over 10 000 new casis almost everyday and over 1500 death from each country daily

Imagine if there was no lockdown in those country ?

You don't underrate Covid 19 bcs its capable of killing millions in a country in a day if care is not taking and nothing will happen

Those who are crying for job I pray their job will safe their life when things get serious

Good day

We will soon start seeing decrease in the confirmed cases. But my fear is the lockdown that's about to be relaxed.

Lagos will have serious issues if they relax the lockdown without enforcing precautionary measures. It's almost guaranteed cos it's a congested city like new York.

While Lagos and FCT are on lockdown, the rate at which covid-19 cases escalate is alarming...now that Baba has ordered a lockdown ease in these States come May 4, let's not be surprised with the outcome of cases.

God, please heal our land.
